I can see it's stainless steel, but does it have an aluminum bottom like some pans do for better heating?

No my husband would not cook with it if it were aluminum. This pan doesn’t need any help getting hot. It’s amazing and fast. Very few if any old maids too.

Would it work on making kettle corn? Is it difficult to stir?

Probably will work for kettlecorn, you just add sweetner? It's very easy to stir

Will it work on an induction cooktop?

This is stainless steel, so most likely would NOT work with induction.

Can someone who owns this do a magnet test?

A magnet sticks to the steel plate on the bottom. You can see from one of the images that the plate is about 1/4 inch thick. A magnet does not stick to the stainless steel side walls.
