"It shows two different colors for the purple. Does anyone know if the color I will get is the bright or dark purple color?"

It's the brighter purple, shown in the photos with the trees in the background! Mine just came today, and I am so glad it's this bright, medium purple... it is VERY pretty. I was prepared to send it back if it was as shown in the main product photo, which depicts it as much darker.

Will this work for everyone ?

Yes. There should be no reason why it shouldn't.
