Awesome unit that sounds great and is very easy to use and configure!
Having tried several different multi-effects units, I settled for the DigiTech RP360 for it's very simple to use features and awesome sound. Very easy to configure and has the features that makes this unit hassle-free. The ability to turn effects on and off with the foot switches is also a major plus. I also enjoy the presets for AC/DC, Smashing Pumpkins, U2 and others already included. And to me, they sound great! Keep in mind that they are named somewhat differently (due to copy right issues I presume) but you'll know what they are when you see the presets. There is supposedly an update for the RP360, but I find that I like this unit for it is and for what I use it for, so I don't see the need to update anything.I primarily use this unit at night, with a pair of Audio-Technica headphones and my computer's audio out plugged into the 'line in' jack on the back of this unit so I can practice/jam with my guitars with either a backing track, YouTube or iTunes throughout the night! On occasion, I do use with it a standard tube amp but mostly use it as a 'silent' practice alternative. No regrets buying the DigiTech RP360!!!UPDATE: 18 September 2016 - Still loving this unit with one minor caveat. An on and off switch for this unit would have been really helpful and convenient. I just recently downloaded the Nexus software, updated the unit, and began to download numerous patches. The software works beautifully with Windows 10 with absolutely zero issues whatsoever. The only thing I would change about this unit is that I wished they had included an easy off/on switch, as constantly unplugging and plugging in the unit is getting a bit bothersome.

Very portable
This is a great pedal if you're trying to make your set up quick and easy. Also there are tons of sounds, guitar/amp modeling effects you can spend hours upon hours on! And has an onboard looper which goes great for practicing by yourself and a nice lil headline jack.

Love it
For the money, I think this is one of the best value effects processors out there. In my old gigging days and until I retired, I was a tube amp guy. I had vintage Fender Deluxe Reverbs and I got into putting together and customizing tweed era Fender amps from parts and personally used a tweed Super and a Bandmaster. (I also had an Allen Old Flame, think 50w Twin Reverb with 2x10") I can get close enough tone and 'feel' wise of all my tube amps that I'll give Digitech two thumbs up on their vintage Fender models. Beyond that, for someone who's looking to put together a very flexible and lightweight gigging and practice rig.. this box along with the 3 button auxiliary footswitch, should get you that. To my ears, this thing sounds great plugged into a clean amp and/or plugged direct into a PA. I'm reading reviews about players who are using this box as their amp plugged directly into the PA and I can now see myself using it that way sometime in my future.I'm running the RP-360 into an old Carvin SX-50 and into the effects loop of a Quilter 101 mini head. As I said above, I'm very happy with the Fender tones and feel I get through both amps. I fronted a blues band for years and gigged with a Deluxe Reverb and a Boss OD-1.. and the only reason I used the OD-1 was because I couldn't crank the DR up to 7-8 and use the guitar's volume control to go from clean to OD. I've got that rig in one patch given the RP360 is in footswitch mode. One of the reasons I choose the RP360 over Zoom's similar pedal is the Nexus editor and library software. I had problems getting the update to run using a newer Windows 10 computer. I did contact Digitech's tech support and they responded within a few hours and we had a dialog through 3 different fix try's. Coming from a tech support background myself, I thought to try loading the upgrade from an older Window's 10 laptop and it worked on the second try. So thumbs up to Digitech from me for their tech support. Love the Nexus tool... check it out on youtube. There are lots of reviews out there on this box. I won't go into any further specifics beyond, it does what it says it does and pretty well for something it's size. As a roots music type player, it's a really cool option for me now and the less rig I have to haul to a gig and set up, the happier I am.

Beginners toy
What can you expect from this cheap multi effects. I've had other multi effects from digitech. But this one is pretty lacking.

Selling USED ITEMS as NEW is not cool
Ok The RP360 is GREAT GREAT GREAT easy to use . I wanted something that gives you the best start when it comes to sound modeling. Just something to go off of instead of starting from scratch. Thi is it SoAwesome . My problem is with Amazon , when I bought this it clearly said it was new , but as you can see from the picture , it is NOT NEW. If I wanted use kit I would’ve searched for it , I’m not returning it because it’s really awesome, but I’m not an confident in ordering things in the future .

Bang for bucks
Great for Progressive or Metal playing. The on board tone editing is a bit tricky but Nexus makes the job easier. The output is really loud and the effect chain is just perfect. I wish it had more than one type of EQ.

Excellent......apart from!!
Excellent multi FX unit, no doubt about it but, one MAJOR flaw.......Only ONE effect from any group can be loaded to any patch. For instance, Chorus, Tremelo, Flanger & Phaser are all within the "modulation" group, but only one can be loaded per patch, making access to any more than one (separately or in unison) in a signal chain (stompbox mode) impossible!!A separate patch needs to be created for access to any more than one effect of any group!!I have contacted Digitech but as yet have had no response!I am just hoping that as this is BIG concern for many users (see the many posts on guitarist forums), this may be remedied in the next firmware update.
