Super easy to put on by yourself and I am five weeks postpartum and my baby is 9 pounds now and he loves to be put in this. The only thing I will say if your baby has a strong neck like mine and pushes their heads back these buttons will not hold there head up and will unsnap but if that’s not the case then they should hold it just fine!
