It's nice and sturdy, and she seems comfortable in it, but I bought the SMALL and it's just a tad too big, so it does tend to slip around a bit. She is about the size of a tall Corgi, so fairly deep-chested. I wish it was just a little more adjustable so I could tighten it up a bit more.The handle on the back has been really helpful for helping her up and down stairs and ramps, and the buckle locks with a little red button, so it doesn't come undone if they pull. The click buckle can sometimes be a bit fiddly to do up if you don't line it up exactly right.If you have a Jack Russell or something similarly dinky, forget this harness - it's great for a larger dog, though. I have an 8 year red Staffy that has always worn red harnesses, so I stuck with what he looks best in and got the red coloured one again. My main reason for buying this particular harness, other than his old one being old and worn, was for the lifting support handle, as we have recently got a new Mitsubishi warrior which is much higher than an average car and he was struggling to jump into it and I was struggling to lift him, so I bought this to see if it would help. The harness itself is padded and looks really comfortable when on, the handle is strong and makes it so much easier lifting my 18kg boy into the vehicle! We just lift him using the handle and hold onto one of his back legs for extra support. I've had this harness a few weeks now and have been lifting him in twice aday, everyday, and it's still as supportive and strong as on day one. I got a size medium which was the perfect fit for him, and he is an average sized male Staffy.
