Their main usage is for using DC powered portable air compressors in the garage on AC outlet. Both compressors draw up to 15amps @12v. This power supply has no issue handling the load. Compressors overheat far quicker than the power supplies which uses a fan when it warms up too much. Fan is audible, but certaining not annoying in a garage environment. Cord length is acceptable. Recommended. Aug 2025 update: The newer one I purchased in 2024, as a backup, appears to not handle the same loads - I assumed it would and was wrong. I had only used it for a lighter load and figured it was the same quality as the older 2020 model. When using an 12v/15a air compressor, it would just stop and start over and over, unable to inflate a tire. Too much load for the inverter. Guess we'll see what kind of warranty process I have to deal with. The product claims to have an 18 month warranty. Dropping to three stars. Sep 2025: After exchanging several e-mails and some testing on my part, Roypow customer support agreed to send out a replacement, which I surprisingly received via overnight shipping.
