Woolous Genuine Sheepskin Rug, Large 3.5 x 2.3 ft, Ivory White

POLYESTER?!?! So i just bought several of these. Nice and big and fluffy, looked very clean, very nice. Cats instantly were scared/curious. The back of the skin, the wool, all looked nice, and then I noticed it had a tag on it... The tag says... 100% POLYESTER! What?!?!? This is supposed to be New Zealand Sheep Skin pelt! Shouldnt be any Polyester at all. So, just before I was about to return it, i did a small burn test. I cut off a small bunch of hair and burned it. The fire tried to light but it quickly extinguished itself. And the smell... yes... the smell told me it is REAL WOOL and the fact the fire went out right away also confirms this is not oil based. THIS IS REAL, This is NOT Polyester. I guess also a lot of ppl are returning because of the tag, so these are at a HUGE DISCOUNT!!! BUY THEM UP!!! They also came in vacuum packed bags, looked nice and kept very nice. These are excellent! See my photos, the tag, the burned bunch of hair... fire went out, i tried it three times, fire kept instantly going out... smells organic like animal hair when burned, not like oil/polyester. ENJOY!!! I PAID FOR THESE, I was not given anything here!

I have bought several rugs like this every the year, but hands-down, this one is the absolute best. It is incredibly thick and soft and well worth the money.

This sheepskin rug is fabulous! I have it over my office chair and I LOVE it. It does not shed, it stays in place and fits over the seat and up the entire back of the chair with a bit remaining to hang over the edge. My cat sleeps on it every chance he gets. Great value for the price! Just looking at it brings me joy, such a beautiful sheepskin.

When looking on Amazon for sheep skin I also put non toxic, no chemicals in search section. It pulled this product up so I thought it didn't use chemicals or heavy metals when tanning it. I used for my dogs bed and sleeping on it first night he started to have loose bowel movements. I hadn't change anything in his daily routine or feeding, only thing different was the sheepskin. I rechecked site where I bought it (here) and there isn't anything telling of tanning process or if it's non toxic or chemicals used. I found anyone not using harsh chemicals or if sheep skins are non toxic they definitely state in the description of the product. This site does not say it anywhere, after removing it from my dogs bed his bowel movements have returned to normal. I would not buy this not knowing how they process it. They also don't state where the product is manufactured, just says skin from New Zealand, a lot of company's I found buy skins from New Zealand and have processed in China...this company doesn't tell where they process it. Plus they vacuum pack it so it's impossible to open without scissors or anything sharp which it tells you not to use either to open, usually product from China uses this packing process to make it cheaper to send to US. I won't buy from these people not knowing the facts first. Beware buying this type of product unless it states that it's NON Toxic and No Harsh Chemicals used before buying.

Just received today. Beautiful sheepskin rug. 100 percent natural long fibers. As the listing states..."it has the wrong labei". That must be why the "experts" complained. Out of several rugs i own, this one is the nicest. Slight smell but airing it out will take care of that.

I was pleasantly surprised by the thickness of this rug. No bad smell coming off it. I like the leather backing on it. Wasn't as soft/fluffy straight out the bag but a quick brush fixed that issue for me. So far even with the brushing there is minimal shedding. Bought as a gift for my husband but my son enjoys it.

This sheepskin elevated a boring leather couch to a luxurious sitting space! I purchased 2, one for each loveseat, as sometimes the leather is a little cold. The sheepskin with a small lumbar pillow and voila! A cozy place everyone gravitates to! The sheepskin is soft and cozy and everyone comments they want one! ha probably will get this as a couple of gifts (for those guests that said they wanted one too)

This sheepskin has exceeded my expectations. The value for the money paid is wonderful. As you can see by the pics I've included it's on my office chair. I have sewn two elastic straps to hold it in place and it's such a lovely and practical addition to my new office chair. I encounter circulation issues due to autoimmune disease and this sheepskin should be most helpful. It had a 'sheepy' odor to it when I opened the package so I put my baking soda and essentials to work and worked up a small batch of natural odor absorbing powder to apply to the back of the hide and allowed it to air out for a couple of days as well. That worked like a charm and it no longer smells so I am very happy with it. I am also getting the wire brush to gently brush it out due to high dust in my apartment building. I am happy with my purchase. The fur is plush and soft and this sheepskin isn't thin or flimsy. It's high quality. I am loving the way it looks too. Total bonus!
