Good starter kit for arts and crafts

What a waste of time and money! After putting considerable time and effort to model the charms I intended to make, clay never properly dry. I went ahead after a few days and painted them anyway, horrible quality of the paint included! Lastly, varnish included never dried! All and all super disappointed! Would have returned except outside of return window. Save yourself the money and trouble

I wanted to get into a new craft and this had everything I needed from the clay to paint, paint brushes, and more tools. I’m glad I didn’t have to go and buy more items just this very kit.

Unfortunately the clay that comes with the kit is impossible to use and crumbles to the point of being unusable. I had to discard the clay - yes I opened up all 4 packets to see if maybe only one was bad but they all were the same. The directions say not to add too much water except there is literally no other way to use the clay. Even when you add water the texture is off and not able to be rolled out or shaped. This was a huge waste of money and I don’t recommend it at all.

I usually use polymer clay that require baking but have dabbled with air clay a couple of times.The air dry clay in this kit was very hard. I had to knead it quite a while, also having to continue to add water, to get it to a consistency that I was actually able to work with. It definitely was lower quality than what I've used in the past.The tools included are appreciated. I will be able to use them for my other projects in the future. The poor quality of the clay was disappointing and for me, ruined the fun but if the clay wasn't so dry from the beginning it would've been great. The tools included would make this a good starter kit, but considering I struggled so much using the clay I feel this kit is not good value for the money and I would not recommend.
