Great artist

Wonderful and comprehensive reference of Richter's work. It is hard not to be drawn into his intellectual problem solving as he works through the different projects.

Great book great price.

I don't like the format of this book. Too many words, not enough pictures. Some of the pictures seem unnecessarily small. I find it hard to find any biography or information about pictures I like, there is very little cross referencing. To find anything out about a picture you have to go wading through pages of text - it is hard work, so a bit pointless IMO.

Dies ist eine gute Übersicht zum Gesamtwerk von Gerhard Richter. Der Text ist allerdings in Englisch! Die zahlreichen Abbildungen sind drucktechnich gut. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist günstig.

Bel libro, buona qualità di stampa e la versione estesa contiene un quantitativo di opere non indifferente. Il testo spazia tra saggi e interviste e da un'ottima panoramica su background e pensiero dell'artista. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo, direi economico rispetto ad altri libri di artisti.

After getting this book, I am not sure how much of a Richter fan I am, but I certainly can't fault the book for that. The book itself is beautiful, with lots of lovely reproductions. I need to spend more time on it and convince myself how great Richter is, following what seems like blind faith but is actually sound logic: if people in the know think it's good stuff, it probably is.

Great book! Content and reproduction of work are excellent. Very valuable to the understanding and appreciation of Gerhard Richter's work.
