Line Voltage Mechanical Thermostat, Cooling Only, 110 to 125VAC, 1 Stage

I installed this in my hoop house to control the exhaust fan. It turns the fan on when the temperatures rise. This mechanical thermostat replaces an electronic one which never worked properly, often failing to turn the fan off as the temperatures dropped. This one is a line voltage thermostat, which means that it controls the 110V current which flows through it to turn the fan on and off. This has been very reliable.

I bought this thermostat to control a portable electric heater. Without it, the heater would run continously. I simply turn the selector knob to the desired temperature and when the room reaches the desired temperature, the heater shuts off. When the temperature drops below the desired temperature, the heater comes back on automatically. Instead of buying a more modern and more expensive electric heater with a built in thermostat, I bought this thermostat at a fraction of the cost of a new heater, and it has really saved money on my electric bill. I recommend it!
