Waste of Money!! Do NOT buy! Did not include Essential bracket needed to attach it, and lenses didn't focus! Waste!!

When the package first arrived, I was very impressed with the quality packaging and sturdiness of the lens. However once opened, I found the Lens to be cumbersome to fit and made the phone feely so unwieldy that I was concerned about dropping it or damaging the phone screen. I consulted an online video to help me set it up as it was both complicated to set up and to use. Unfortunately, once I used it I found it to be relatively ineffective and added little benefit to my existing phone camera. Whilst this item is undoubtedly well made and of good build quality, I feel as though it is ideally suited to a keen amateur photographer for whom the image quality is all important, rather than someone like me who only occasionally takes photos

For me this product should be avoided. It marginally improves photos but it is very fiddly to set up and not easy to use without the lens moving about or tightening it so hard you are likely to break your phone screen. The quality of how the product is made is good and the packaging is great but it feels like all show and no substance. Don’t waste the money.

Shiftcam’s Lens Ultra 60mm Telephoto Lens is a great addition to any phone. It did take me a few times at least to get used to it. But Shiftcam has the awnser for that. When you open the Shiftcam Lensultra box there is an orange card that says watch a video. All you have to do is scan the QR code and touch the yellow tab/bar at the bottom of the screen and the video walks you through the setup. It is pretty slick. Then you can sign p for your lifetime warranty after the video showing you how to use the lens with you phone (either a universal mount or phone case) is over. It prompts you at the end. I do not know hardly anything about cameras and this was pretty easily for me. But as I mentioned before it took a few try’s to become used to using it. Plus certain apps are recommended to enchant the experience.

Lens is heavy, no way you can use it without proper handling. You need to get the phone case because it cannot be attached otherwise. For me that is a big flop. They should have a universal attachment for using with other cases. I use a ROKFORM case and anytime I want to use the lens, I have to switch the case, and when doing so, the lens attachments on the ShiftCam case detaches very easily from it, even with minimum force, anytime you press too hard while taking the phone off. I have invested in Shiftcam ecosystem, case, lens, grip, and other filters to take my iPhone photography further but in all honesty, the price paid vs the actual “additional optical zoom” is not exactly what I expected. Might need to tweak it furthermore and try with my Adobe Lightroom Camera app. We’ll see

The quality of the lens appears to be good and the image quality is crisp. I don’t know if my complaint is with Apple or shiftcam but I have an iPhone 15 pro max. Unfortunately this “telephoto” lens cannot be used with either my 3x or 5x iPhone lenses. It will only work with the 1x lens so the result is just a 2x telephoto which is different than implied in the shiftcam examples. I will probably keep the lens because of the image quality but I’m disappointed that it does not work with the 15 pro max as well as it should. I do use it with a 3rd party camera app (procamera).

Poor quality. Lens is heavy and has poor optical quality. Does not work well with Iphone 15 Pro Max. This company does not stand behind their product. Do not be fooled by the packaging and advertising - this is another low quality product shipped from outside the US with no way for the end user to effect customer support. Avoid at all costs.

Das LensUltra 60mm Teleobjektiv macht beim Auspacken einen wirklich hochwertigen Eindruck. Die Verpackung wirkt edel, alles ist gut geschützt, und das Objektiv selbst besteht aus Metall, was direkt für eine wertige Haptik sorgt. Auch die Verarbeitung ist sauber: nichts wackelt, die Mechanik läuft glatt und insgesamt fühlt sich das Produkt sehr solide an. Ein Punkt, den man beim Setup beachten muss: Die Objektive haben einen anderen Anschluss als die aktuellen Cases. Die benötigten Adapter liegen beim Case bei, was praktisch ist. Allerdings gilt das natürlich nur für die Anzahl der beigelegten Adapter. Wenn man mehr als zwei Objektive verwenden möchte, muss man zusätzliche Adapter separat kaufen. Sinnvoller wäre es, jedem Objektiv direkt einen eigenen Adapter beizulegen oder die Objektive grundsätzlich so zu überarbeiten, dass sie ohne Adapter zum neuen System passen. Beim Fotografieren kam dann die größte Enttäuschung: Die Bildqualität überzeugt nicht. Die Fotos werden nicht scharf und zeigen wenig Details. Für professionelle oder anspruchsvollere Fotos ist das Objektiv deshalb ungeeignet. Der Tele-Effekt ist zwar sichtbar, bringt aber wenig, wenn die Schärfe nicht stimmt. Am Ende habe ich das Objektiv zurückgeschickt, weil die hochwertige Verarbeitung leider nicht mit der tatsächlichen Leistung mithalten kann. Fazit: Sehr gute Verarbeitung und wertige Materialien, aber schwache Fotoqualität und ein wenig durchdachtes Adaptersystem. Für mich in der aktuellen Form leider keine Empfehlung.

I am soooo impressed with this lens, I wanted to get more into photography with my phone after my upgrade and this has added that extra layer of sharpness to my pictures. So far I have only taken photos in London but cannot wait to test when I go on holiday! Great little addition for budding photographers.

See my other review of the Shiftcam case that is needed to make this work. The lens is very credible as a small 'proper' camera lens, and beautifully packaged, the price is justifiable. Fits easily into the case, make sure to use the included little adapter rings. The 60mm fits over the iPhone 17 Pro main lens, the 1x, and will magnify that to the equivalent of the 2x lens, which the iPhone would otherwise achieve by a digital crop. I've only had a few changes to test this lens outdoors in daylight, but happy with it so far.

Achtung, das Objektiv passt nicht für ein iPhone 16 e! Und bei Nachfrage an den Verkäufer was für Hüllen oder Alternativen er hat, bekommt man am letzten Tag der Rückgabe Möglichkeit keine definitive Aussage!
