The media could not be loaded. I cannot think of another tool that has ever been easier to use besides maybe a screwdriver! You literally just stick it in the outlet and it tells you if it’s working or getting electricity or not! You can’t go wrong with it! And it’s portable to fit in any toolbox or tool pouch!

This was to replace one that came up missing out of my toolbox. I think this one is great. It tells you everything about the GFCI let you test it tells you if you wired it right they also make another one same company that tells you the voltage it’s probably worth the seven or eight dollars more to get that one because it actually tells you the voltage coming out the outlet Great item. Safe and easy to use and very useful to have in the house

Plug this tester into a 3-wire 120-volt AC (US) electrical receptacle. The three red LEDs light up in one of several patterns to indicate if the receptacle is wired correctly, or, if not, what appears to be wrong. To test the tester, I deliberately mis-wired an extension cord several different ways, and the tester correctly identified the problem each time. The face of the tester has a table of the LED light patterns and what each one means. The tester also include a push button that tests the operation of a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI).Note that there is another version of this tester, Model 469D, that includes a digital voltage readout for the receptacle, a feature that some might find useful.

Great little tool!

Bought for a final check of electrical repairs during house closing walkthrough. Tester appears to be working as intended. Confirmed with known working outlets (normal and GFCI) prior to closing.

Comme tous les modèles de ce genre, ce gadget ne donne pas les informations basiques que l'on souhaite connaitre sur une prise, à savoir:Où sont la phase et le neutre (à gauche ou à droite) et si la terre est connectée ou non. Éventuellement la tension sur la prise.Pour cela il faut juste 3 Leds dont 2 bicolores rouge et verte pour indiquer avec la Led qui s'allume en rouge où est la phase et en vert pour le neutre. Hors ce gadget chinois est incapable d'indiquer quoique ce soit d'utile s'il ne trouve pas la terre! Pourtant avec un simple tournevis néon, on sait trouver la phase!Autre chose, les normes officielles n'imposent absolument pas d'avoir le neutre à gauche et la phase à droite mais cet appareil indique une inversion entre phase et neutre si on ne respecte te pas cette "convention" ou plutôt cette habitude.Bref, je vais devoir me fabriquer cet appareil très simple qui m'évitera de démonter la prise, puis ce que ces fabricants de gadgets en sont incapables.
