Love these gate. We have 2 55” gates and one that is much longer. They are strong but virtually disappear when retracted and not in use. I picked black but white and gray are nice too. Takes practice to lock and unlock but there’s a sticker with instructions on the gate.

WE have a new darling tiny puppy. We wanted to keep her in the kitchen area. This is a large room in our home. This did not work as well as I thought it would. Our new little smarty pants crawled under it. Then we figure out a way to block it with a 2 x 4 length of wood with a rug wrapped around it. She then started to eat a hole in it. It may work better when she is older. It would work for children and probably larger dogs that are older and trained.

The gate rolls up nicely, but the locking mechanism is hard to use. My dogs quickly figured out they could push through it, if it isn’t locked. They either push it hard enough to unhook it, or go under. Looks nice though and it’s convenient.

It does the job! The installation wasn't terrible; the adhesive "place markers" they sent didn't work as intended, but that's okay because I worked it out anyway. This gate is convenient and keeps my cats and dog out of my kitchen, and I love that for them.

Have had for less then a year the gears work great and a great locking system but the fabric is weak and tears easily that’s why I gave it 3 stars also kids and pets can still crawl under gate

In the event that it is not being used, the gate is able to discretely vanish into the casing, leaving my living area feeling open and devoid of clutter. While I am playing, on the other hand, I am able to effortlessly draw out the required length in order to establish a barrier. Charlie is able to avoid engaging in any risky countertop investigations because of his 42-inch height, which is ideal for him. Despite his exuberant puppy hops, the gate will not move because of the support rods that are included in the package. This ensures that the gate will remain stable. There have been a few learning curves for both Charlie and me, despite the fact that the gate itself has been exceptional. The releasing mechanism is the first point to consider. It took some time and effort to get the hang of it, but it takes a gentle squeeze with both hands. On the other hand, once I had learned it, opening and shutting the gate became a task that was without difficulty. It was the initial novelty of the mesh that presented Charlie with the greatest challenge. A large number of days were spent by him doing things like batting at it and trying to nibble on it. With a little bit of luck, the mesh held up pretty well, and after about a week, the novelty disappeared.

I bought this 48” gate to keep my 1.5 year old safely out of the kitchen while my dog eats to ensure both the baby’s and dog’s safety around food. The gate was delivered on 8/27/24 and installed on 8/28 per the manufacturer instructions. Today on 9/10/24 my 20lb baby was playing and tripped onto the gate. The bracket holding the gate to the wall snapped in half and sent sharp plastic flying, luckily I was standing right next to my baby because the broken bracket left a 3 inch cut in my leg exactly eye level to my baby. Had my leg not been in the way the gate plastic would have cut her face and eye.I bought the extra protection plan at the same time as the gate so as soon as I calmed my baby, checked her for injury, and tended to my injury. The protection plan DOEA NOT COVER THIS BRAND. I had to call Amazon customer service twice for assistance.DO NOT BUY THIS GATE! It is made of cheap plastic brackets that snap in half under slight pressure. It is dangerous and should not be used around babies or pets!
