It works very well!!!
Love this thing!! I used epilators since 2009 when my sister introduced me to them, but have only ever used the corded emjoi brand until it completely crapped out on me several years ago. I used something else from that brand or similar; it just wasn’t as good but I was on a budget and tried to give it chances. Finally decided to invest in something like this one, which was kinda pricier than I was used to, but actually for what you get, it’s great value. Comes with exfoliating mitt, all kinds of different attachments for your needs, and can be used in wet or dry conditions with a light!! And cordless! Felt odd using cordless at first, but what a game changer to not be confined to one space. It works soooo much better than my previous one that there’s no comparing, but even my old beloved emjoi didn’t do as well as this one. Smooth for more than a week if I exfoliate, epilate, and clean device properly. I was hesitant that this model didn’t have stainless steel or gold plated tweezers, but it still works and even better than my other ones. Hoping it’ll last a long time; I’ve been using this since march or April of this year. Definitely would repurchase in the future; please don’t discontinue this!!!

Wowww
KP friendly Okay, so first off, I’m super frugal and rarely splurge on stuff like this. I have KP and regular razors irritate my skin. My last electric razors was just something cheap, cheapest I could find with good ratings, but I lost the charger. My bf has been in the dog house so he told my to buy a super fancy, “expensive” electric razor. ANYWAY. I was just looking for something “fancy and expensive,” great ratings being the most important. I was going to get just the plain shaver, but Mr. Doghouse insisted I get this one. Charged it, didn’t read anything about what a epilator was. I used the head it came with on, which was the epilator. Ouch. At first I was like okay, this is weird. As I kept going - the pain wasn’t bad, I just wasn’t expecting it at first. The manual is a giant sheet that folds into a huge paper, so I wasn’t really feeling looking more into it. But it’s just a slight tug like tweezing (I now realize that’s basically what it does.) It took a while and I’m probably going to have to work on it a few more times to make sure I got everything. It took longer than shaving, maybe like 15 minutes to get all that I could see. All I can say is WOW. It has been about 30 minutes and the slight extra redness it added on my KP has cleared up. (I’ll also add that I use Briotech topical spray after shaving for my KP just so my skin isn’t as irritated and painful.) The bumps I normally have are also way less inflamed from using this shaver. It’s like it yanked out my ingrown hairs and now my usual bumps are less raised and even skin toned! I can’t wait to see how it looks after regular use because my legs are already starting to look like regular people’s legs. Very unexpected! I’d definitely recommend for those with KP, just remember, there is a small tug for each hair that you get used to. I gave up on my KP LONG ago, so this was just a super great coincidence. I’d almost say this shaver is life-changing for me because my legs/skin has been a life-long insecurity for me. Mission accomplished, guy now bought himself a ticket out of the dog house for now.

I hope this helps you first timers 💓
(Sorry for the long review in advance) If you want to be as bald as Mr. Clean's head, get it. I'm begging you. This has saved me so much time and money. I'm not going to lie, I used to grow thick body hair that just came back as quickly as I got rid of it. I used to shave with razors and it was awful because the hair would literally come back the day after and come back thicker. Especially on my legs no matter what shaving creams or what kind of 'gentle' razors I used. So I finally tried this. And now, I just have to epilate once every two weeks at most. I will say, it is painful at first if you have never used an epilator before, but by the second time, you should be a bit more accustomed to it. Eventually, you won't feel much pain. As long as you do it slow and take your time. My routine for this is: shower like normal, exfoliate a little in the shower, dry off completely, and THEN epilate. If it is too painful, then doing it while in the shower with the water running should minimize the pain. However, if you do this, you still might have a bit more body hair left as the water on your skin will make it a bit harder for the epilator to grab onto the hair. If this is the case, you can just dry yourself off and then epilate the leftover hair while your skin is still soft. I found that this method hurt way less even though it takes a bit longer. Additionally, after the first time or if you run the epilator on your skin way too fast during a session, you may get 'strawberry skin' or small bumps on your skin. However, again, if you continue with a weekly/ bi-weekly routine, you should eventually experience less and less of this every time unless you genuinely just have too sensitive of a skin type to be using an epilator. I recommend using 'Aloderma 99% organic aloe vera Pure Aloe Vera Gel' (which is also on Amazon btw) immediately after you finish an epilating session to minimize the amount of bumps or trauma to your skin that will most likely appear the day after. I always do that and have seen great results so far. My hair has stopped growing back as quickly and as thick/prickly as it used to. It now grows back thinner and way less noticeable. P.S.: For me, I felt that putting on baby powder on my skin before epilating on dry skin to minimize the pain like many people recommended, didn't really do anything. And definitely REMEMBER to hold your skin taught on your armpits the first time specifically if you are doing them because otherwise you won't get any hair or it'll hurt real bad 😭

Got all the thick hairs
I love this thing!! I ran out of body parts to rip hair from. The only thing I don’t like is that it doesn’t grab onto the thinner hairs but I can live with that

Game Changer! Smooth Skin That Actually Lasts
I was honestly a little scared to try an epilator for the first time. I had always shaved, but I was getting tired of how quickly the hair would grow back sometimes in just a day or two. I wanted something that was better for my skin and would last longer, so after seeing a lot of positive reviews about the Philips Epilator Series 8000, I decided to go for it. At first, it was a little painful, especially on more sensitive areas like the underarms. But I had already read that it would get easier, and it’s true after a few passes, I got used to it. The device is easy to handle, and I love that it comes with different attachments, which made the whole experience more comfortable. I used it on my underarms and legs, and I was genuinely shocked at how smooth my skin felt afterward. It’s been several days and there’s still no hair, which is something I’ve never experienced with shaving. I also didn’t get the usual irritation or razor bumps, which is a big win for me. What I loved: Hair-free for days (no stubble the next morning!) Less skin irritation than shaving Once you get used to it, it’s quick and easy Feels like an investment for long-term results What to expect: It can sting a bit the first few times, but it’s tolerable Works best on hair that’s not super short or super long Use it after a shower and exfoliate first, it helps! Final Thoughts: This epilator completely changed my hair removal routine. I never thought I’d find a product that gives me smooth skin for this long without the hassle of daily shaving. I 1000% recommend it for anyone tired of shaving or looking for a better long-term solution. It’s officially part of my routine forever!

Not an effective epilator
I bought this to replace my old epilator of a different brand. This Philips epilator is disappointing. Compared to my older epilator, you have to do more than one pass to get much hair off. Even with multiple passings, it couldn't remove all the hair. The curved design of the epilator head didnt help. I had to revert to wax strips to remove all the hair left behind. Because of multiple passes, it kinda irritated my skin. I still give it 3 stars because the motor is quality. The shaver is great.

BEST of 3 brands I've tried.
Amazing! Been epilating bikini & underarms between waxes for 20 years. Old Emjoi I loved went out of business, so have been searching for a good replacement for 2 years. Tried Braun - HATED IT. Barely plucked, had to go over and over the same spots, couldn't get a straight line. Bought this Philips - YAYAYAY! Plucks right away, the ceramic "blades" are not sharp, it has a definite back so I can create a straight line. This thing works so great. It's quick, efficient, I'm smooth, no hassle. YAY!

Good but not really worth it
Does the job pretty good. However it is very slow so took about an hour to do just my legs and I had to recharge after doing just one leg. I also found that using it resulted in alot of ingrown hairs which is something Ive never had an issue with when shaving. In terms of pain its not too bad on the legs, for the underarms its tolerable if you have a high pain tolerance. The shaver head is useful for areas that are too sensitive for the epilator. So overall its fairly good but probably not worth the money. Even though I can shave less using it, its honestly such a hassle to use that Id rather just shave every couple of days.

Smooth skin that actually lasts!!!
I’ve tried a few hair removal methods over the years, and the Philips Epilator Series 8000 has honestly impressed me the most. If you’re looking for long-lasting smoothness without constant upkeep, this one delivers. First off, it’s powerful but surprisingly gentle. The extra-wide epilator head covers a lot of surface area, and I was able to do both lower legs in about 10 minutes like advertised. The ceramic tweezers grab even the shortest hairs, and thanks to the double action technology, my skin stayed smooth for nearly four weeks. That alone makes it worth it. I also love that it’s cordless and wet/dry, so you can use it in the bath or shower. I personally find it much more comfortable in warm water. The different attachments make this feel like a full grooming system rather than just an epilator: • Shaving head + trimming comb for a close shave • Trimming head + bikini comb for more delicate areas • Delicate area cap and optimal contact cap for better control The caps really do make a difference, especially for sensitive areas. It feels controlled and precise instead of intimidating. Battery life has been solid, and cleaning is easy—just warm, soapy water as recommended. I also appreciate that it’s designed to be safe and straightforward to use. Yes, epilation isn’t completely painless (no epilator is), but this is about as comfortable as it gets, and the long-lasting results mean I’m not shaving every few days. If you’re debating making the switch from shaving to epilating, this is a fantastic option. Smooth skin for weeks, versatile attachments, and convenient cordless use, I highly recommend it!
