Hoof Nipper Trimmer Cutter Farrier Tools Premium Quality

Have only used these once on one of my donkeys to defer a Farrier's visit for a few weeks. Nice and sharp, however I am getting on a bit now and my hands are not strong, I found them a bit too long and heavy to handle easily.

You pay for what you get. Absolutely useless. I was skeptical when they arrived, as the blades of the nippers were incredibly blunt and did not even meet straight - there was a 2mm gap between the blades at one side. They seemed fairly sturdy, and for the price thought they would maybe do a couple of trims on a horse whilst waiting for a higher quality replacement after my original pair of nippers were stolen.Not a chance. I doubted in the first instance they would cut through my Shire's feet (not much does, short of £200 nippers or an angle grinder), however these could not even work their way through my Shetland's hoof wall. You could be capable of bench pressing 100kg, and still struggle to force the blunt blades through. If you want a decent pair of nippers, I highly recommend Blue Devil 15" nippers, which I had used for several years without difficulty (these can be sourced via Equine Podiatry Supplies, not on Amazon).Now in the process of returning these. They are not trimmers, nor cutters, and they are not premium quality. Worth a bash for £20, but ultimately failed even the most basic of tests.

Very strong tool. Only worry was the product arrived already opened and not rescaled. It was a miracle that the tools stayed in the envelope at all.

These wouldn't cut cheese! My 6yr old ones are still better.
