This works very well. I just had hip replacement surgery & this helps to ease the pain. The size & light weight makes it easy to walk when I have it on.

good product, could be colder on top half. Bought 2 of them for hip replacement, large enough to fit around most of hip (supplemented with flat pack under butt). However the top half of the pack loses cold much more quickly than the bottom - suggest putting much more of the cooler material in the top!

I bought two of these to use after hip surgery when I was trying to move around. Ice packs are great for when you're stationary but not for you're moving, and the postop instructions were quite insistent about the need to keep moving (however difficult and painful it might be). So for me, these were important.I did have some trouble getting them to stay in place at first but I think that was just me. I did spend some time wrestling with the Velcro, which likes to stick to stuff you don't want it to stick to, but I'm not going to take off stars for what is a general problem with Velcro.I think these are pretty much a necessity after hip surgery. They came in handy in the early days. I don't need them now but I am glad I had them when I did need them.

Don't listen to other when they suggest an ICE machine over ice packs. The whole idea is to put ice on and only for a 20-30 minute time then MOVE! You cannot reduce swelling just laying around with cold packs or ice. It takes Ice, Anti-inflamitory drugs and MOVEMENT.....Trust me and what most reputable surgeons will also tell you....Ice Packs before Ice machines.....

Too big for slim ladies. Would not stay up or stay cold very long.

Fits great... but didn't stay cold longer than 5 minutes.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Barely cold…doesn’t last more than 10-15 minutes if that. Size would have been great but would have liked it to remain cold for at least 20-30 minutes.

I liked its proper fit around Hip Joint with Bursitis and that it works well.
