This is not anywhere near a heavy-duty bag. I'm hopeful it will last 6 months, as my teenage boys are ruthless to it. It's held up 2 weeks thus far. I opted to put sand in the base, as water in the base seemed like a huge hazard. It was a pain to fill it with sand, but waaaay better for stability and no risk of a flooded room. You just need a funnel and an extra pair of hands. An air compressor to fill it is the only way. I tried a standard bike pump at first. 30 minutes in by hand and barely had any air. It's a good, cheap outlet for my boys. Just for that aspect it is worth every penny.

Unless you plan on filling the entire base up with nothing but sand and can get a good deal on that I wouldn’t waste my time. I put 10 pounds of sand in and water, and we completely filled it with air and the bounce back is not very good. My child ended up laying on it.. I’m pretty disappointed unless I can find a good deal on a large amount of sand and try filling the base up with that. Maybe it will make a difference.

Easy to add air by electric pump, and i add the sand instead of water to avoid leaking just in case got a hole in the bottom. it’s not easy to add a sand inside though because the hole is to tiny for funnel but we figured out by adding the sand, the height is good enough for 5’2 youth and adult. the bag is thick enough to keep punching by my son.

This thing took FOREVER to fill with air and I was using a small electric pump. I wish I had an air compressor, would have been a lot faster. After getting it set up though, the kids went to town and continue to play with it. It doesn’t take up too much space and is a great toy when the weather is cold or crappy and they need a break from the electronics.

Great for my younger child to practice her karate on.
