Genuine Ford part. I didn’t want to trust something as critical as my oil drain plug to a cheap knockoff made offshore where quality is known to take a backseat to production. I’ve communicated with people that have tried those, with leaks. Not for me.

My newly purchased used car has a pool leak at the plug. I am not sure why so I purchased an oem plug to change on the next oil change. Unfortunately I don’t drive very far so it will be awhile before I need it changed. Since the car uses 10 quarts it is harder to drain myself. I am hoping it will stop the leak that is a slow leak but enough to make a mess when parked.

Perfect OEM fit. Anyone who has changed their own oil on the new Bronco ( mine is a 24 ) knows the oil shoots out like a fire hose. I found with these the easiest way to drain the oil is to turn the plug as little as you can until you see just a thin stream of oil coming out straight down. . KEEP YOUR HAND ON THE PLUG! Then keep turning very slowly until a decent stream is coming out straight down. After about 20 seconds or so you can remove the plug and the oil will continue to drain straight down. ** Also remove the oil fill cap and take out the filter first **

So easy from the old style steel drain plugs. No torque just turn 1/2-3/4 turn click your done.

I only use OEM drain plugs. I broke my last one so this was ordered as a backup. Arrived fast and works.
