Great filter jug - I'd always pick the BWT ones
Great filter jug - I'd always pick the BWT ones!I have used one of these for over 3 years in Germany and was very happy with it. When I moved to London I bought a new one - not being sure whether it would live up to the challenges of the very hard water we have here and whether it can get rid of the "chlorine" taste that almost put me off drinking tap water. I was pleasantly surprised: it does a really, really great job and the cartridges last for what seems to be forever and three days even though I live in a flat share with 4 other people who use it too.+ easy handling and cartridge exchange+ long lasting cartridges - even with hard water+ adding magnesium to the filtered water+ jug itself has a great size+ available in a variety of colours+ jug itself dishwasher proof

Really like this water filter
I had wanted to buy a Zero Water filter but after reading the reviews how cartridges don't last very long, and considering the expense, it was just cost prohibitive. I've had a Brita filter in the past but for some peculiar reason reacted to the filtered water and was too scared to try it again. So I researched water filters on Amazon and found this one which seemed to be good so I thought I try it because our water tastes toxic at times, like they pour bleach into it, I don't know how water suppliers can get away with this. I was pleasantly surprised how well the filter filtered the water, gone was the chlorine taste. The filtered water tastes nice, like the bottled water I used to get. On the Zero Water filter reviews I read one review where the lady said to add a few drops of trace minerals to a glass of filtered water to give it the taste of expensive bottled water so I bought "Trace Minerals ConcenTrace Trace Mineral Drops, 15ml"(https://amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004I8RBKM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and it does indeed make the water taste even better. I don't use the drops all the time though as the water tastes just fine the way it is.

Crystal clear water
Not my first rodeo with water filters but I’ve always used a known brand.. I honestly got this one because it was pink to match my kitchen but it works exactly the same as others I’ve purchased.. definitely recommended and is soooo pretty lol

Clear Water
I use a coffee machine when I put used to put hot water in the cup to pre heat it there was always bits of lime in the bottom of the cup, now that I use the water filter I get nothing but pure water in it. I t may be subjective but I am sure both coffe and tea taste much better plus the kettle or coffee machine does not fur up as they use to. All in all an excellent product well worth buying.

I wouldnt buy again
When the jug arrived, the electronic display did not work. The manufactuing date for this product is 2016, (stamped on the inside of the lid) so it is not surprising that the battery had failed as the instuctions say it only lasts around 3 years. Clearly old stock that should not have been sold.I bought this jug to replace an AquaOptima that i had had for many years. The plastic of this jug is a lot thinner than tha AquaOptima and feels considerably less robust. The blue lid already show scratches from very little use.The filter does work and seems to remove the calcium from the very hard water in this area, but no better than any other jug we have had.The filtered water smells a little like the smell from the sea, I guess that is the magnesium. Taste wise, i think it is better than plain filtered water but for cold drinking water, i still prefer unfiltered hard water.Once i run out of the cartridges i bought at the same time, this jug will be replaced with another Optima

Excellent filter jug
Brilliant - I love it. Filter needs changing monthly (and they are a bit expensive) but I don’t care as it does such a good job keeping our hard water junk out of the kettle and therefore out of our tea/coffee.

Cheap, plasticky, junk.
I'm sorry, but who is writing all these glowing reviews for this junk?? It arrived broken, the lid mechanism works solely on the tiniest, flimsiest spring I have ever seen, so don't expect this to last very long. The plastic used in this jug of NOT good quality, rough edges all along the inner jug bottom lip, it just feels cheap and nasty. If this is the best German engineering has to offer these days, the world can rest easy for another 80 years.A swift return, with the extra ordered Cartridges to boot.Utter junk.
