Bought for a friend that has a new travel trailer and has hard well water at home, he loves this softener and says it works great

I have bought two of these for two different RV’s and they definitely make a difference in water quality. It is easy to install with just some short garden hoses. I customized mine and added quick disconnects so it is easier to backflush and do the Regen process. Screwing the cap on an off can be a bit of a pain in the a$$ though as I seem to get it cross threaded frequently and have to start all over. As the instructions state you need to take the top off and dump table salt into it in order to clean the polymer beads. The wife definitely notes the difference in the softness of the water compared to when it is not being used. I mounted mine next to the wet bay in the pass thru area, this area is heated (we are full timers and face freezing conditions at times).

I have purchased other portable softeners but none compare with the deluxe features of this unit. Packed complete with fittings, hose, quick connect adapters and Y valve! Bonus carry handle will make this so much easier to handle. I'm impressed. No assembly instructions included, but common sense prevails. One note: Before screwing in the hose fittings to cap housing...insert the fully round black washers (the two without the external bumps) and don't over tighten them. The rest is easy. I'm sure it will work fine to replace my other 16000 grain unit that I left in the coach with water and forgot to remove it during freezing temps...oops. It blew apart unfortunately. The price of it was twice what the Vevor unit costs and without the bonus accessories!

4-star only because of its weight. It's heavy, especially after use and its size is awkward to move in and out of our RV Toy Hauler's storage bay. I used wood dolly from a local hardware store and strapped it to it so I can roll it around in the storage area. Otherwise, the unit would get a 5-star rating. It works very good at softening water you put into your camper fresh water tank. I believe I would buy this again, but only after checking to see if there are lighter/smaller options. I would even be willing to have two smaller (more easily handled) units than one big one. Product is made well, is solid and durable, works well, and functions as expected. I would recommend it for softening water for an RV or other situation where water is pumped into a tank.

Recommend this for ever full time RVer. Where I am at our water is very hard And with this we get good soft water,you can feel it on your skin for sure. My two warnings are do not use the 5ft connecting hose the male end blew off so I had water running for 30 minutes. Thank God we were home. Don't use the Teflon tape buy some pipe dope for the joints. Then make sure the cap round seal is not pinched. But other than that the softener works as advertised.

I bought this for a cargo trailer conversion that I have built. I plumbed it in to the water system so that I wouldn’t ruin my high end fixtures with our hard water here in SE New Mexico. It was easy to install but took a lot of patience and massive amount of over tightening to stop all leaks. I thought I was done after fighting for nearly 3 hours to get it in. I used it the water and could tell by feeling the water on my bare hands that it was very much softened water and the water hardness test strips verified that the water cowling in to the unit was very hard (425 ppm) and the water coming out of the unit was soft (0 ppm.) after 2 showers, 5 or 6 toilet flushes and washing a plate and a fork, the water was starting to spot up my new fixtures in the shower and the sink. I tested the water and it was 250 ppm coming out of the unit. It only softened the water for 3 days and really not even that long. I followed the directions to regenerate the unit with 2 and half boxes of salt. Again, the water tested at 0 ppm and I tested it morning and night for the next 2 days. After my shower that night, it tested at 25 ppm. After washing my plate, bowl, a pan and fork the next day and it was reading 50 ppm. After that my shower that night (24 hours after regeneration) it tested at 120 ppm. The next day at 36 hours and only 2 or 3 toilet flushes, it read at very hard (250 ppm) after my shower that night, 48 hours after regeneration, it was right back up to 425 ppm. I’ve verified that I have no leaks, my showers are average 7 to 10 minute showers and there’s no excuse for such poor operation. And having it plumbed in as I do, it’s not like I can just screw the top off and easily regenerate. I am very disappointed. I will be removing it this weekend and since I wasn’t ready to Instal it right when I got it, I am past the return limits so I guess I’ll be donating it to the garbage can. I’m sure it might be a great product for areas where the water is already soft but it is not even close to being a good product for here where I live.

Using this in my shower at a rental house with very hard water. Works great and solved some skin issues I was having within a few days.

This softener has provided our motorhome with wonderfully soft water for almost two years. I have performed regeneration on it twice in that time. It is simple and economical.

Love it! So nice to have soft water in our park model trailer. We just need to remember to use less soap for dishes and showering. Works great and was easy to install. Love all the extra fittings etc that they give you.

Cela devrait être simple mais au début cela fuit de partout. La notice n’aide pas tellement. En achetant de bons adaptateurs et joints et en serrant bien, on finit par y arriver. Mais le prix justifie l’effort…

all the fittings in the package are for amercian garden/hose fittings. there are some brass fittings maybe half decent quality, the other fittings (eg hose) seem to be made from tin or chromed metal or even gold painted metal!
