I do not think you can use coffee beans as there is no grinder inside. **Q: I've smashed the jug, where can I source a replacement?** A: I have just spent two hours looking for a jug for a machine, and, IF I found one to fit (which I don't think I did), it was more than this machine.. So, I HATE chucking working things out, but save yourself the time and frustration, and buy another one. Cry into your coffee, or I'll use a G and T for the same, giggle. **Q: How can i start....i d'ont know how???Thank you!** A: Just follow the instructions. Put water in the water container then put ground coffee in the coffee container. Close the lid and press on button. Voila a nice cup of brewed coffee. **Q: I've smashed the jug, where can I source a replacement?** A: I did the same - I contacted the producer and found the jug was nearly as much as the whole machine. I didn't get a replacement but I still have the machine. Other reviews have said that it isn't anti slide which I have found to be true but I put a piece of kitchen roll under it which seems to have helped. The instructions say there is a spoon to measure coffee but there was no spoon in mine but however !! I am finding it good, brews nice coffee and I am pleased with it.
