No, the base that it comes with it is the glue

Yes! You do need to use UV light to dry it.

Are these good quality? Does it melt down the side of the nail when curing? Does it get hot? Does it peel of in one sheet? Are they rubbery?

I usually purchase beetle brand . And decided to try these because of the shade of nudes . I was not disappointed. I have an Amazon curing light and had no issues . If you take your time and apply right this gel will last 2 or more weeks . I had no issues removing , the appearance is smooth glossy and sleek
