Ktaxon 4 String Electric Bass Guitar | Burning Fire Style Bass (Matte)

I bought this for my birthday. It came quick and I have spent about five or six total hours playing it, and I think its a wonderful instrument. It sounds perfect for just about every style. It sounds great finger picked or plucked with a pick, and its just about perfect for home recording. And lastly, its super attractive in person. PROS -Extremely Light-weight -The action was perfect out of the box, good sustain -The stock strings were surprisingly very good -The humbuckers and EQ sound perfect for my tastes, I won't upgrade them -The neck is fast yet thick and the fretboard wide, favoring both fast slides and arpeggios, 22 frets -Decent tuning stability -Beautiful, maybe negligibly flawed, matte finish, with a body that is practical and comfortable despite its stylized shape CONS -Possible neck dives because of the light body vs the relatively long and thick neck -The extended scale needs some getting used to, which means that it will require the player to extend the fretting arm out further in almost every position, but tall players may not care or notice -While versatile and great sounding, passive humbuckers wont replace the sound of single coils or active electronics with 5 EQ knobs, make sure its the tool you need It was packaged nicely and delivered about three days ahead of schedule. All considered, it cost me just about under $100. I think its a perfect deal and would have no hesitation about buying it. Worst case scenario, you'll have a cheap platform to upgrade or even give away to someone who'd value it.

HOLY CRAP! this bass guitar is awesome! The paint quality is amazing, ht price is great, the build is phenomenal, and it plays wonderfully! I didn't take me long to tune it up, and the strings feel alright, although I'm going to switch out the strings for black ones. This bass is rad though! Definitely recommend for beginners and seasoned players alike!

Great bass, so glad i bought it, i bought the white version too! We all know you don’t buy this for the practice amp — those tiny amps always sound weak since the speakers can’t handle the full range. That’s expected. The real value here is the bass itself, and it’s awesome. The gig bag is worthless, its basically a dust cover, no padding at all. The bass feels nice and light, plays clean, and I was happy to find no hum. The stock strings are pretty cheap (I’d recommend swapping them out right away), but that’s normal for budget instruments. With a decent amp, this bass really sounds good. You don’t have to spend a fortune when there are solid options like this around. I grabbed the white one and it looks amazing in person. Couldn’t be happier with it — I’m very glad I went with this bass!

It’s a good guitar

I've purchased several Ktaxon guitars/basses for modding. Sometimes they're Glarry instruments. This jazz bass may be, too, but arrived unbranded. Pros: pickups and tone responsive and provide fine tonal variety. Easily intonated. Frets are level, fret edges generally smooth. Truss rod adjusts well. Finish is gorgeous, more a metallic sparkle, more silver than grey. Bass has some heft to it...often budget guitars are light and experience neck dive, no issues here. Cons: really minor....tuning knobs were tight, but workable and hold tune well. Pick guard was covered with plastic film but has some circular scratches underneath when seen under lights, maybe just a result of how it was manufactured? Overall, a fantastic value, great jazz bass style and sounds to explore, and sturdy body and neck for modding if that's your intention

Got this bass so I could start jamming with the band until I can afford something else and I am amazed that it sounds this good. It's not a pro bass by any means but for a beginner to intermediate player it does the job well. Played pretty well out of the box but after doing a few tweaks (truss rod adjustment, intonation etc.) and some DR red devil strings this thing sounds amazing! The matte black finish is very nice also. I would definitely recommend this bass to anyone who is starting out or just wants a decent bass to practice on.

Bass arrived on time, big plus! Very lightweight which is what I wanted. After unboxing I was surprised by the beauty, craftsmanship. So I plug it up to hear the sound, what a great sounding bass. I was so pleased and thankful because I have music festival to play at in a few days and I'm more than sure this bass guitar can handle the job. I will buy another Ktaxon bass as a backup for future jobs. I am more than satisfied with this purchase. Two thumbs 👍 up.
