The Inn at Eagle Point: A Clean Romance and Contemporary Women's Fiction Novel of Second Chances (A Chesapeake Shores Novel, 1) [Woods, Sherryl] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. The Inn at Eagle Point: A Clean Romance and Contemporary Women's Fiction Novel of Second Chances (A Chesapeake Shores Novel, 1) Review: The Only Books I’ll Read – And They Make Me Want to Be on the Show! - I’ve never been a reader. In fact, I’ve always avoided books—until I discovered Sherryl Woods. Now, if her name is on the cover, I’m all in. The Inn at Eagle Point, the first Chesapeake Shores novel, pulled me in from page one and made me wish I could pack up and move into this charming town. This story is the perfect introduction to the O’Brien family—full of love, drama, and that small-town warmth you can practically feel. Abby’s return to Chesapeake Shores, her complicated relationship with her sisters, and the fight to save the family inn had me hooked all the way through. Sherryl has such a talent for making her characters feel real, like people you’d actually want to sit down with over coffee. Reading this book made me love the Chesapeake Shores world so much that I now have a lifetime goal: to be an extra on the TV show. Seriously—let me walk through a scene, carry a tray in the background, anything! I just want to be part of this place she’s created. Helpful Tip: While this is the first in the series and a great place to start, be prepared—you’ll want to read them all once you meet the O’Briens. For fellow non-readers looking for the one author who can make you forget you “don’t read,” Sherryl Woods is it. The Inn at Eagle Point is heartwarming, addictive, and the start of a series you’ll never want to leave. Review: I think Sherryl did a great job of creating well developed characters - This is the first book that I have read of Sherryl Woods' even though I own quite a few. To be honest I read it because of the new movie/tv show that are coming out on Hallmark Channel. I think Sherryl did a great job of creating well developed characters. She gave you enough information about their past so that you could understand how they got to their current state but didn't go overboard. In addition to creating well developed characters she also did a great job setting the scene. She made the town of Chesapeake Shores a town that everyone would want to come visit and live in. An interesting story line that I liked that Sherryl included in the book was the relationship between Abby and her sister Jess. Most romance authors concentrate on just the main two characters and sometimes include outside characters into it at times. But in Inn at Eagle Point Sherryl did a great job including how the relationship of Jess and Abby and how their mother leaving affected their life. One of my favorite quotes in the book was one that Trace said about how Abby was a good mom. I know author readers were all thinking what I was at that moment. Aww... Here is the quote: "Look, being a bad mom is taking off when some of your kids are too little to understand why you're leaving. Being a bad mom is leaving a seventeen year old daughter to take over and try to make things right. You lived that with Megan. You know firsthand what its like to have a mother you can't count on. You will never allow your girls to feel that kind of pain." He tucked a finger under her chin. "Don't ever let me hear you question your mothering skills again." Can't wait to read the next book in the series.

If more than five stars were available I would give them to this book,
What a wonderful, wonderful book. This story begins with thirty-two year old Abby who works in New York. She is a single parent of five year old twin girls sharing custody with her ex-husband Wes. Another character is Trace, the son of a banker and works as a free lance artist and lives in New York. His father wants him to take over the family business of running the bank which Trace does not want to do. However, he did agree to trying it for six months. His first assignment was to go over some loan applications and a foreclosure on the Inn at Eagle Point owned by Abby’s sister, Jes. Trace had been carrying a torch for Abby for several years. That is all I am going to say about this very interesting book which keeps you from wanting to put it down. You just want to keep turning pages to find out what happens next. Sherryl Woods is a wonderful author and her books do not seem to have any errors which makes reading a pleasure.

Lovely romance to read and pass the time. The history about Abby and Trace is sweet and makes your heart warm. There’s a show on Netflix, but very different and slower than the book.

After watching the Chesapeake Shores series, I was curious to know how the author had written the books. Which is when I purchased the first two books in the series. I started reading The Inn at Eagle Point and got hooked after a bit of an effort to wipe out the film running in my head. But after the first couple of chapters I was totally lost in the story. It is so beautifully written. What I liked best was that whether it is in India or in America, people aren’t all that different. It’s family and values which count the most. All the characters, beginning with Nell, Mick, Megan, Abby, Trace, Bree and Jess—I love them all. And I was glad to see Abby finding the happiness she deserved with Trace. Now, going on to read the second book in the series…
