The four goose-neck clip holders are easy to bend to shape, but strong enough to take a weight of a kilogram (a couple of pounds). The only issue I found was that the provided 5 cm (2") long alligator clips, though fine for wire or small parts, might be a bit small for holding larger items. However, I had a 15 cm (6") alligator clip (a food bag clip), which I drilled for the (metric) bolt on the goose-neck, and it's held with a nut. Two silicone pipe-caps cover the jaws.
