As it says on the box, test it before running it behind the trim. Original: I have installed 5 of these now and they are great if they work. It signals the Viofo Camera to go into parking mode immediately after turning off the car or a little after to avoid capturing the door closing. However, 1 out of 5 is defective. After all the trouble in running the cable behind the air bags, the battery on this cable doesn't work. It shutsdown immediately and the light on the switch turns off. Tested and there is electricity going to the battery tap connector but defective cable just won't stay on. When it is working, the switch is good providing a custom level of how much to drain the car battery ensuring that the car can start.
