Great green tea
I don't know why I thought I could buy this and make a mask/scrub that I can put in a jar and use when I need to. Even with preservative, it turned brown. The powder itself is green. I've purchased this before and made green tea with it, so it tastes great. It does have some gritty texture as it doesn't dissolve completely. You can get around that by using tea bags, I think. It works well in smoothies and shakes. There's no sugar, so if you like that you will have to add it. I would say that it's easy to figure out how to make it. It's a decent value for the money.

Good product
This tea is very good. I drink it daily for my health. I just steep it according to the directions and add it to lemonade. My version of a half and half.

Very good for the price
This is one of the less expensive matcha powders and it's better than many that are more expensive ... but not as good as super-premium ones. The color of a nice verdant green — I've seen some that are way more olive/brown and some that are a bit more green... again, good but not great. This is a recurring theme of the review — but again, it's under $2/oz. The flavor has a slightly bitter taste (and a tiny bit "fishy" as it should be), but missing some of the top notes (grassy, herby, fresh) that other nice ones can have. All in all, a good bargain, especially for baking or blending.

Surprisingly Good!
This is the second time we have tried a culinary grade Matcha green tea powder. The first cup of this brand was not how we remembered it. We did sift the tea prior to using it. The end result was quite grainy, which apparently is to be expected, especially with culinary grade. HOWEVER...... the second cup, done slightly different, was amazing!!!! What we did differently (through comments of other Matcha drinkers), was use an inexpensive, battery operated, handheld milk frother! We used 2 teaspoonfuls, 4gm, of powder in about 10 ozs. of water. We did NOT sift, just used the little mixer (frother) right in the cup and wow!!!! The cup was all finished in about 10 minutes and there were NO grains, clumps, etc., in the bottom of the cup!!! Our guess is that the frother suspends the powder evenly throughout the water while at the same time removing and dispersing evenly. This causes it to remain in suspension evenly and for a longer period of time. At least that is our guess! Next time we will try first harvest, ceremonial grade just to compare.

Disgusting
I honestly can’t remember the last time I tasted something this bad. I bought this matcha on Amazon expecting at least a decent cup of tea, but what arrived was absolutely awful. The flavor is harsh, bitter, stale, and somehow manages to taste like dirt and disappointment at the same time. I’ve had plenty of matcha before, and this is not what good matcha tastes like. Not even close. I couldn’t finish a single cup. I tried adjusting the amount, changing the preparation method, adding milk—nothing could save it. Complete waste of money. If you’re considering buying this, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. One star is generous.

Made in China
Great job making it look like and taste like Macha. There must be a reason for the affordable price.
