This baby was just what I needed! Easy to install & works great! Highly recommend! :)
Our school music teacher had an older digital camcorder that had the motherboard go out on - needed very important video off the hard drive... this case worked fine! Was easy to assembly and start using in a very few minutes (the connecting cable is a very tight fit, & took the most time)! They even included extra screws, a little screwdriver, & rubber spacer pads to help keep the hard drive from moving a little around in the case - the case also fits a slightly thicker drive, too - they included the correct cables for this older drive with a lot older cable interface! Case fits well together, & looks sharp! Came earlier than expected! Instructions were easy to follow with pix for each step, too! Highly recommend! And now, the teacher has a USB external hard drive to use, too! :)

Some of the most poorly factory produced junk possible. Worked for all of 5 minutes
It's the cheapest most wretched quality that can be sold. Even the screws don't fit, it strips them if you try. I assembled everything and thought I'd be good to go. I formatted my drive and was supposedly off and running. I have a known working drive. I began transferring some files and the thing would disconnect, connect, disconnect, connect, in perpetuity. It just stopped working at all. I've checked all connections and done everything possible to remedy the situation on my end. It's just totally obvious that this is the cheapest garbage that a factory can produce, I don't even want to replace it... What's the point? The next one is gonna be the same way. Don't bother. Don't waste your money.

Excellent product
Excellent product. Arrived quickly, well packaged. Nice slim case with rounded corners and pleasant coating. Everything included all the way to detailed instructions. Took five minutes to assemble and works great. Best enclosure for small drives I have seen!

Excellent Product, Could Be A Little Bit
I am satisfied with this product and so far has worked out well for me pretty much. The only suggestions I would recommend a change:- Don't use black screws and black casing, please.- Enable the hard drive to be natively supported on the OS by enabling the OS or third party software to find the hard drive to view SMART data.Otherwise a great buy and like it!

Small and compact
This external enclosure for micro drives is nice. It allowed me to get the data off an otherwise unusable hard drive. The one downside was getting the ribbon into the drive as comparing the ribbon that came with the enclosure and the one in the computer and finding that the ribbon that came with the enclosure was a bit thicker causing me to have to force it in. Other than that it worked wonderfully well.

Worked as needed.
I had to put a new logic board in my IPOD 3rd Gen Video to be functional again. I don't like the newer IPODs as I personally think the 3rd gen video is the last of the better IPODs I used this gizmo to backup all the data on the IPOD hdd. Worked with no problems. Sturdy build quality.

Its a nice case but mine did not work
Its a nice case but mine did not work. the controller would not let me access the drives. I know all the drives are good as they work on other drive connectors. Makes for a nice paper weight tho.

Worked like a Charm
Exactly what I needed.I had a Sony HDR-SR1 Handycam that wouldn't boot up. Attaching the USB cable to my PC didn't do the trick. I needed to pull the hard drive and try to get my files off that another way. The camera contained a Toshiba 1.8" ZIF drive.Enter this little gadget. It turned out to be easy to hook up. Just be sure you have the contacts on the ribbon cable on the correct side when you hook it up. Otherwise, it won't work.
