Color Mixing Recipes for Landscapes: Mixing recipes for more than 400 color combinations

I wrote a more detailed review on the general colour mixing book which I also bought. I wanted to avoid wasting paint after several muddy experiments, as an amateur. I can buy materials on line but find this is is useful to get quicker to the result I want. I enjoy landscapes and so far have used this for mountain colours, sky recipes and some foliage. If you enjoy landscape I would recommend this. It is not complicated to use if you follow the instructions though I probably use if 50% by simply looking at the colour swatches for a match I like. I have for example looked up magnolia trees/flowers for specific recipes, when painting blossom.

It is a reference book, a catalogue of colours mixes, explanations and tips which I shall use didactically for many years to come.

I have a few of these books now and find them very helpful for mixing my paints. They have a colour mixing grid in the back, which is useful. Great little spiral bound books for a great price. I would highly recommend them to all.

A very easy to use book to take around with you that can save you some time(and paint). Only problem is you might not have some of the colours used in the book but an experienced artist will easily get around that using other colours.

I had high hopes for this book and I love the quality (look and feel) of it and the spiral binding. I just feel that as I use a limited palette (2 reds, 2 yellows, 2 blues plus yellow ochre, burnt umber, black and white) and mix everything up from those, this book doesn't work as well as it might for me. I don't want to buy all the colours dictated by the writer (26 in total!) but I'm not sure how effective it will be without doing so.

Color mixing recipes for landscapes book. This appeared to be nice,…gave this as gift to new artist.

I can quickly find suitable color mixes for e.g. a certain tree, grass, sky, etc. Good index for different color sets. The structure of the book is durable and easy to keep clean.
