Bummer but not Amazon's fault
This was my second time purchase for this pen. Great value for the money, very nice-looking, writes beautifully, refills with the universal cartridge wonderfully IF you know how to do it, a light-weight pen sized for older school kids and women's hands. So where's my beef? I received an empty package from the post office. It either ripped the package and fell out or it was stolen in the mail. I suspect the later. This has occurred a couple times before with my mail in zip code 85738 (P.O. Box address).Anyway, it was a fine addition to my pen collection. At the price, give it a try. š« š« š«

Nib is typical Asian Medium - which means it's fine
This is an attractive pen, and it writes very smoothly. A bit smallish, but not so much that the size is a problem. It's Chinese, so the medium nib is smaller than the typical European medium - more like a fine nib.

Really small pen šļø
A disappointment for me, given the many glowing reviews. I like the classic styling and I got mine in classic black. Iām not into transparent/translucent pens when an ugly cartridge or converter is all you see. The acrylic is dense and feels solid. The cap posts securely. The nib is usable but nothing special. The pen is small, really small. I use a tripod grip and my thumb, forefinger and middle finger fight for space on the grip. They end up all over each other. The pen is also short, and I must write posted if I am to use it. Very uncomfortable and cramping sets in at about half a page on 8.5x11. The nib is scratchy with plenty of feedback ā definitely would disturb others in a meeting environment. I regret this purchase.

Lovely pens surpassed my expectations
These are pretty knock offs of Sailor Pro Gear Slim (I own two of those). I bought several of these Jinhaos in different colors. They write excellently! I was surprised at how well they work! The nibs are steel, but write very smoothly. I am very pleased with the 8 pens I bought in different colors. I will buy these as gifts too! I honestly like these more than the gold Sailor nibs which have too much feedback for my tastes. I wanted a broad stub nib in some of them so replaced with a steel #5 stub. All the nibs I tested in the pens I received worked perfectly immediately. The do not dry out quickly. No hard starts. The convertor is honestly better than ones I have for gold nib pens (Like Pilot - love the nibs, hate the convertor). As someone who has lots of fountain pens, several quite expensive gold nib pens too, I am really impressed with these cheap Jinhaos. Their quality far surpasses the price! If you're new to fountain pens, I highly recommend these. If you just love nice pens that write well, buy these. If you want the pretty colors, these are fantastic! I honestly can't think of any negative to these pens. (Just FYI they are on the shorter side, just like the Sailor PGS. I can write easily posted or with cap off.)I am including a picture of my Jinahos and two Sailors. They really do look so similar! I recommend these pens without hesitation!(If anyone is wondering, the pen cases are from Rickshaw Bagworks.)

Amazing for the price
I really like the EF nib, the portable size and the clear body. The nib writes consistently and smoothly. How it writes reminds me of what I like about the nib on my EF Jinhao 9019. It is a bit short to write with unposted (for my hands), but it posts well and is comfortable to hold when posted. The grip is pretty comfortable to hold, but is a tiny bit small for my hands (which is just personal preference).I'm not sure if it's all pens, but between the clear part of the grip and the cover around the feed, there is a small bit of irregularity or glue or something. It's not terrible, but noticeable.
