Integral Encrypted Flash Drive
This is a fantastic device and is a perfect place to keep my Word document of passwords. The flash drive has a small program on it which drives the encryption and password entry. Thereafter it is like any other memory stick. This small program insists on the password being strong (ie complicated) which is a bit of a nuisance, but you can't have good security and a simple password. The small program could be a little more user friendly but one soon gets used to it. Once you have entered your password and access to the stick is allowed, you merely minimise the little program until you want to lock down the memory stick again, which is done with a single click. When setting up the stick with a user password, you also have to create a master password. This is useful if a computer administrator has lots of users with these sticks and one of them forgets his password. The 8GB version is more than adequate for my needs, although there are other capacities available. All in all this is a brilliant concept and is well executed.

Expensive, but does everything you need
It is a truth universally acknowledged that having a password-protected USB stick is pointless if it falls out of your bag. So, my requirements for the little device on which I keep my important personal documents were that it was password-protected, attached to a keyring and had a good security interface. After trying two which lasted about a month before the plastic/metal connectors snapped off my keyring (the SanDisk Cruzer Fit, which is enviably tiny but unfortunately has a weak keyring link, and the ubiquitous Integral Courier, which attaches by a weak plastic end) I decided I needed something a bit more robust. The Integral Crypto is exactly that - the USB is coated is a durable rubber which makes you feel like you can drop it, stand on it, dunk it in a puddle and it will still work. I was keen to get an Integral USB because of the ease of Total Lock - you simply put in a password and it opens a Windows folder as normal, unlike other USB sticks (e.g. SanDisk) where it has an odd interface into which you have to drag documents. Most importantly, the USB connects to a keyring via a hole which goes through the body of the stick - it isn't an end which can snap off and get lost.Overall, it's a pricy little thing, but it looks robust, has a great interface and security and doesn't look like it'll break or fall off a keyring any time soon. So, if you want a secure and tough little USB which will last a long time, this is the one.

Good for the money and totally secure
I was looking for a method to carry personal documents while travelling and this fits the bill perfectly. The case is rubberised and claims to be waterproof. On the stick you can read set up files before choosing a password (password must include capitals, lower case and characters) When set you can 'log in' to the USB storage space. The stick can then be used as normal and can either just be unplugged or, by opening the control window, you can 'log out'. The stick contains the security software, nothing is installed onto the host computer and after 6 failed attempts it auto erases - very Mission Impossible!!!It does what I wanted and does it easily.

Seems very secure
Seems to be exactly what I need - though trying to remember a really secure password is challenging. (Almost tempted to write it down!).For my job and in light of new data protection rules, this is ideal. No idea why it's so hard to encrypt USB sticks - and we have to resort to these 'ironkey' type which are really much more expensive. However, for peace of mind, I guess you have to balance whether to set passwords on all your individual files - or trust this memory stick with just one password.

Best encrypted drives I've used
These are the easiest usb drives to save your data on, in an encrypted way, and you have the piece of mind that "everything" is encrypted! unlike some drives that only encrypt the data, when you move it into their encrypted file area, and believe me some are a real pain to be sure you've moved your data correctly and i have experienced data loss due to not moving data across correctly on other drives. its never a good feeling when you lose something at a high enough level of importance, that you've chosen to encrypt it in the first place. so buy these drives and relax in the knowledge your data is safe and saved. Just don't forget your password!! I hope this helps you with your purchase.

Excellent
This is fantastic. I originally bought it for work at a local college, but I ended up using it at home for storing digital copies of documents such as birth certificates. I don't have my own computer at work, and the drivers for this need to be installed to use it, which only administrators can do where I work, so that's the only reason I chose to use it at home instead. It is easier to password protect documents elsewhere. I'd recommend this.

great bit of kit
brilliant bit of tech, obviously very secure, its a good size, very neet design with a rubber type material surrounding the drive itself offers some good protection from bumps, drops or even throws over long distances, lol! (not sure how it would stand up to the Incredible Hulk test of swallowing but i'm not going t try that one, lol) It also has a small indicator light on the stick whch is handy to know when the connection or port on say a public computer is sound.
