I live in Florida and used the product in empty spots. The grass looks great at night; however, during daylight hours, the product is darker than the grass, making the lawn look ridiculous in spots. When it rains, the rain washes away the color. When I water the grass, the water washes away the color too. **Q: Does it fertilizer or will it kill grass?** A: It does not fertilize, nor does it kill grass. It’s a cosmetic solution to bring back the lush green color to yellowed or dormant lawns. **Q: how much per gallon of water?** A: they recommend 1 part paint to 6 parts water so going by that it would be 21.5 ozs of paint per gallon of water. Make sure you test it first if you want the color to be lighter you would add more water. The 1 to 6 ratio is the most common. I wouldn't buy the sprayer they offer. We had nothing but problems with ours. The tip on this sprayer is brass, has fan spray and perfect for this product. No clogging. I used a 7 to 1 mix. Used 40 oz's concentrate on 400 sq ft. That's 2 1/2 gallons mixed product. Grass was very dry ! Might try 10 to 1 mix next time. Photo shows just sprayed lawn. Recommended at this point.
