Love these, will continue to buy them every year. The chocolate is fun for the kids and the verse helps keep the meaning of Advent at the center of the Christmas purpose. I love the art on the front, again, being true to the meaning of Christmas.

Bought this as a gift for my mother and she loved it. It's a beautiful calendar that has equally beautiful illustrations to tell the nativity story.

Great Advent calendar about Christmas story for all people. Not just kids

All the chocolate fell between the plastic and the cardboard. None of it stayed in its little spot. The little doors wouldn't open and tore in random directions rather than along the perforations. No one believed any of this when it was all ripped up and the chocolate was gone. I just looked like an ass. So consider yourself warned.

I really wanted to like this, as a nostalgia trip back to my childhood in the 1980s, opening one box every night and reading the story of the birth of Christ while I got to eat some chocolate. Sadly, this product has a number of drawbacks. For starters, the text is illegible on quite a few of the boxes. I don’t think any are blank, but I literally cannot see any text on a couple, and many are *very* difficult to read. Why not use the same contrasting ink color for every box? I don’t get it. Second, the chocolate shifted during shipment. The bottom of the calendar bulges out because many of the chocolates have slipped out of their compartment and they’ve all settled at the bottom. It’s now December 16 and I think I’ve found a chocolate inside about 9 of these. So a little more than half. The chocolate *is* tasty and seems good quality! I suppose on the 24th I can rip the entire thing open and empty out all the chocolate. But that’s not really the experience I was after with this.

I bought this for my mum and thought that it would be something really special, especially for the price. VERY disappointed. I could have gone to Lidl and bought something similar for a fraction of the price. Goodness knows what the chocolate is going to be like, after reading the reviews...wished I had read them first. NOTHING special about this advent; except for the MASSIVE price tag!

Advent calendar ordered in advance. By the time 1st Dec came around product was outside its return period, but when I opened it with my daughter - found all the chocolates smashed to bit s and and the bottom of the box

I cannot describe quite how disappointed I am by this. We ordered because it looked excellent and whilst a little more expensive than we would normally look at we thought it would be worthwhile. The appalling packing of the item resulted in a noticeable rattling noise from the package when it was delivered. When opened not only was the calendar crumpled in placed but all the chocolates had fallen to the bottom of the calendar. If I could give this a negative rating then I would.

Never ever order these advent calendars. Chocolate??? Never tasted anything so awful. I have 2 calendars with 2 chocolates eaten. Would return. And they were all at the bottom of the calendar. I could have gone to Lidl and got a better one for £3.99.
