Read this before you buy if you live in the UK!!
I dithered about what kind of review to put up for this as I've not had it very long, so some of the teething problems I've had might go in time. However, first & foremost for anyone in the UK buying one, please note it does NOT come with a UK plug but rather a 2-pin US one and a weird 2 pin at that which will require you to invest in a particular travel plug to accommodate it at a cost of £15+. Then you'll also need to shell out for a bottle of machine oil as the needle has to be oiled before every use or it will seize up! At least that's relatively cheap but just all extra expense on top of an already expensive item that I wasn't expecting. This is all info that should be front & centre on the listing but I couldn't find it anywhere :(Once I got all that & figured out how to get the needle placed (video on YT was the best help there) I got stuck in. I got it because of neck/shoulder pain primarily and that comes when you're starting any project and you have to felt forever to get your core wool solidified - sadly this won't help there. From what I can gather it's more for doing the smoothing and detail work as the needle doesn't penetrate that far at times. On that point, you're better using some good quality needles over the ones it comes with, as you'll have better control. It takes a bit of time to get used to holding it and it can feel a bit heavy if you use it for more than 5-10 minutes nonstop but I think it's better in short bursts anyway. It has a variable speed capability but apparently best kept in the middle for both ease of use and safety. The first few times I've used it on an already well felted project it was hard to see what it was actually doing, but eventually I could see the marks it made. It certainly didn't seem to want to do any depth of work even with a 38 needle but I think it will come into its own eventually.Overall, I'm hopeful it will prove worth the investment & not end up a waste of time & money but I doubt that since everyone who has one raves about it!!

Needle felt machine
Not brilliant unfortunately not had long and loose connections already. Light on power button keeps flickering on and off because of loose connection already. And now it's packed in completely waste of money to be honest and im Really disappointed

Not suitable for use in the UK
I bought this from what I thought was a UK company however when it arrived it had a US plug, with no adapter, and I am concerned about the higher voltage in the UK being suitable to use this device. I have yet to contact the company to see if it is ok to use but wanted to leave this review for anyone in the UK who are considering buying this machine

110volts not suitable for Europe
This product is illegal for sale in Europe. It has a US plug which means 110volts and NOT 230!Don't buy it

This is a game changer
My husband gave me this Needle Felting Machine for Christmas, and I finally got around to using it today. I’m officially hooked.I’ve done needle felting by hand before, so I know how long (and stabby) it can be. This machine makes the process so much faster and more even. It gives a really nice, consistent finish without feeling bulky or overworked. It was straightforward to set up, runs smoothly, and feels sturdy — not flimsy or temperamental. I was half-expecting a learning curve, but it was surprisingly intuitive. If you enjoy felting but don’t enjoy poking yourself a hundred times per project, this is a game changer. I wish I had started using it sooner.Highly recommend for hobby felters who want to save time and their fingers.

Read the instructions and oil often
2nd UPDATE...A new felter was gifted to me. This time there are instructions. I use WD40 oil in the channel the needle goes through. Now there is no friction or getting stuck and the needle glides easily. I re-oil often. Also, the instructions say to not adjust the speed past the mid point on the dial. This keeps it from going to fast and burning up the motor. I wish the instructions were with the first tool, but thankful now. This machine is great. BTW Use safety glasses. The needle flew off on me. I think I was going to fast or on an angle. The safety glasses did their job.1st uPDATE...on my second day, after using it for hours, the casing that the needle is housed/ moves through, might have melted from the friction. The needle wouldn't glide, it was stuck. I tried several needles from different sources. It's not the needle, but the machine. So disappointed. I have returned it. ORIGINAL REVIEW...It is light weight and the adjustable speed makes felting fast. Today I used it for hours non-stop. This has saved my hands and makes felting nonstressful on my hands. Thank you to the designer/engineer for creating this terrific machine.
