BUT the pans tri-ply may be a little heavier than my old non tri-ply but they heat even and can be put in the oven. The cooking surface clean every easy. The tri-ply also holds the heat well which means you can cook on a lower flame and on some things finish faster. You will need to get use to them but then you have to do that with any new cookware.
