So far this alternator has worked without a hitch. It was very hard to install but this saved me a ton of money as a diy project. The pulley was different than the original but it was very easy to install the original pulley in just a few minutes. Except for the pulley being different it looked like the original and fit without issue. I cannot speak to longevity at this point but so far it has fixed my issue.

I bought this alternator for an older 843 Bobcat skid steer. It was a perfect match. Electrical hook up was identical. Worked like a champion. I could not get this alternator anywhere else for any cheaper which made me leery of it. Quality was better than what I had so it is a great value for what it is. I had no idea an old alternator could be so expensive. So price wise this was a win.

BICS was going off occasionally on my 873 - all lights flashing and locked up. I replaced the seat bar switch and checked the brake switch but those didn't fix it. Then I read that voltage over 15 VDC or under 9 VDC could cause BICS lock up. Old alternator was putting out 14.8 at idle on a good battery. I installed this new alternator a couple months ago and the BICS has not gone off since. I think the old alternator was sometimes bumping up over 15 VDC at higher revs. I hope this new alternator fixed it. Working great so far! Edit: This alternator is still working fine but the BICS started acting up after a while. Turns out the problem was in the main computer board.

So yes, it fits where the alternator fits on a Bobcat 2400. However, at least on mine, the harness is not connected as shown, or provided by the supplied pigtail. So once properly connected, it charges just fine, but for some reason I have to increase the revs the engine a few seconds for the voltmeter to register over 12v. After doing so, it will indicate that the alternator is charging at over 14v.

Exact fit for my 863 bobcat diesel. The original was in pretty bad shape. Now I know where all the noise was coming from!
