These are comfortable low-cut lightweight socks that I wear for normal daily routines. They are made with 78% Polyester, 19% Nylon and 3% Spandex. The top of the sock is stretchy and the bottom is very sock like microfiber. For comfort that's great, but be aware that, like a microfiber towel, everything will stick to it. I made the mistake if walking outside for a minute and came back in with all kinds of leaves and tiny sticks stuck to the bottoms of my feet. So aside from that, these socks work well. Great for the warmer months.

These socks have moderate cushioning at the bottom that’s enough to be useful but not so much that they require a larger shoe size or they make your feet hot. At the top, the material is slightly thinner for better breathability and there are stretchy ribs running parallel to the length of the foot to help keep them from slipping on your foot. Under the ankle, there’s a 1” area of ribbed bands to keep the socks from getting dragged under your foot, which can be super annoying.. The description on the package says that the socks have reinforced toe and heal protection; these areas seem to have the same yearn density as the bottom of the sock, which should be perfectly adequate. The synthetic material (mainly polyester) helps wick away perspiration to reduce dampness. The socks are made in China from recycled yarn. I think the price is reasonable for the quality. I thought the socks ran true to size. There was a bit of extra material in the front but that wasn’t a problem and I would prefer that to a sock that has too little material and the sock feels uncomfortably tight (which is the case with some of my other socks). Overall, I think these socks are just about perfect for everyday casual wear in warm weather or while exercising unless you need extreme padding because of your foot mechanics or a hard shoe or unless you prefer a very thin sock. Recommended.

When I first put on these socks, I found them to be very soft. They fit well enough (maybe a tad small), and I wore them comfortably all day. However, at the end of the day when I took them off, they were covered in debris, almost like I'd gone walking through the grass. I was surprised, as I've never seen socks dirty like that before. I still don't know where the stuff stuck in the threads of the sock came from, but the socks somehow found it and trapped it. I also noticed that these socks twist on the foot. They like to sit rotated 90 degrees around the foot.

These Merrell Men's and Women's Lightweight Work Low Cut Socks are very nice. First of all, it’s great that they’re available in large sizes. I wear a size 16 EEEE shoe, and the L-XL size in these socks fit very well. These are very lightweight socks, and while they don’t provide a lot of cushion, they have good clinginess so they don’t move around on your feet. They’ll also help your feet fit very easily in your shoes without the socks taking up any room. One other notable thing, in addition to being lightweight socks, is that they are also very breathable. On the tops of the socks, they are woven in such a way that I can see my feet right through them. They are definitely not cold-weather socks, but they will be very nice and breathable in hot weather.
