Great saw for the price
Got the 18in size chain, for the type of tree I'd be cutting down. It was either paying 500 for someone to do it, or buy this for under $200 and do it myself. Man this thing can cut! Was easy to assemble, (not much to assemble) and the performance was way better than I was expecting. Chain only fell off once, because I didn't adjust after starting it, just as the manual says to do. I blame my excitement of hearing that engine going at it on the tree!

A chainsaw that works
For the price it is a good buy. Its not the most powerful chainsaw like name brand one. Perfect for yard work and small trees. It will cut some bigger tree stumps just have to give it time to get thru it. The only problem I had was it wouldn't start back up if low on gas. I filled the tank and started right up. I have used other saws and never had that issue but it not really a big deal.

I was very impressed with this saw. Good price and it worked well. Went thru the tree like butter. I would recommend this

Great buy
I was very skeptical buying a $100 gas chainsaw but this thing doesn’t disappoint. 15 or so pulls for the first start, fires right up on the first pull every time. Cut a couple trees down and used it to notch some 6x6’s for a deck. Great little saw

Not worth the purchase
I bought this to cut up several trees that had fallen. It was horrible to get it to start, once it started, it kept cutting off every cut, and the and the chain went dull after just a few cuts. I spent $100 more just to get it services and a new chain put on, because its a special size chain not available at major home improvement stores. The clerk at the repair store said he will not do repairs on this brand again because they are so bad and he cannot justify charging for a repair on such a bad product. Yes, the chain saw completely died three cuts later. out more than 300 dollars .

It’s made in China but cuts good.
When it arrived it wouldn’t start. Contacted manufacturer to let them know that there was no spark. Never received a response from Bilt Hard. Emailed seller and they copied the manufacturer manual instructions for no start. No help. Can’t return item, so I troubleshot myself. Found the coiled wire connector to the plug was not properly installed and lost connection to the carbon core plug wire.Fixed it by bending it and crimping it into the cable. Reinstalled plug boot and the saw started on 2nd pull with no choke.Saw worked fine to cut up 2 big pines for future firewood.Note: This saw does not need the choke set unless it is really cold outside.18” saw has 16” of exposed cutting blade. So, I assume 16” saw only has 14” cutting blade.
