A very affordable counter upgrade. So far its durable and our kitchen looks much better! That being said if your not artsy, you will definitely want to practice a bit.

Needed a cheap way to upgrade my counter tops. This was very easy to do - you have to take your time with the gray lines and use a dry brush to get the look you want. Would recommend this and would use it again

The Rust-Oleum Marble Countertop Paint Kit is a great concept and gives your counters a fresh, updated look without the cost of replacing them. The end result actually looked really good — the marble effect is convincing, and the finish has a nice professional feel.However, I found that coverage was not as strong as advertised. I was working with a standard-sized countertop and still had to purchase a second kit to get full, even coverage. It’s definitely not a one-box solution for most surfaces, despite what the packaging suggests.Also, after about 7 months of normal use, I’ve started to notice bubbling in the clear coat around the sink area, especially where it tends to get wet more often. While the rest of the counter still looks great, this raises concerns about long-term durability in moisture-prone areas.Overall, it’s a solid product if you’re looking for a budget-friendly makeover, but be prepared to buy more than one kit and keep an eye on how it holds up near sinks or high-use spots. With a little extra effort and care, it can still be a worthwhile DIY upgrade.

i'll start with the good things.it's easy to put on - it's just paint. it comes with a heavy duty cleaner that you use before you paint, which is nice.i didn't notice much odor at all. it dries quickly. perhaps too quickly - there's barely any time to soften the edges of the veining before the grey dries and sticks to the brush.the color is a good, pure white.neutral thing is that it doesn't come with the tools. no brushes, rollers, sandpaper, or wipes for the cleaner. you'll need to have those separately.now the bad.in small print on the box, it says this isn't to be used as a food prep surface. i assumed that just meant you're not supposed to be preparing food on the bare counter; but it ended up being more accurate than i thought.first of all, it never turned out smooth. if there's a weird texture spot you have to sand it down and start over because all the paint will come up when you sand. i redid multiple spots and ultimately used up all the paint and clear topcoat doing that, and it's still a very bumpy, uneven surface. i actually went to art school a long time ago, so i'm pretty confident in my painting abilities lol.the topcoat is satin, not glossy like a normal counter. this means there's some texture to it at its smoothest, which can trap small amounts of dust or whatever. seemed an odd choice for a kitchen counter that's supposed to mimic marble. it also yellowed slightly over the course of about a month.but the biggest problem is the durability. setting or moving heavy things on it damages it immediately. heavy items leave dents in the surface after awhile and if you slide something across, like when i put the microwave back and slid it back against the wall, there will be dark skid marks left in the surface that won't come up. i would have to sand it and redo it.so i think that "not to be used as a food preparation surface" note is a fitting warning. this is not to be used as a countertop lmao. it doesn't look good, doesn't feel good, isn't designed to be food safe, and can't handle having objects placed on it. it could be a fun project for a side table or something, but i would not use this again for a countertop.

Loved this product but I am going to do an epoxy topcoat since the topcoat included doesn't give a thick topcoat feel that I am wanting. The white base coat works well, I did three coats and it dries fast. I will give my advice to others that had a hard time veining because that are not artistic (like me); use a feather! I used a little craft feather from my daughter's art kit - just dip the top portion of the feather in the paint and just lightly brush the counter, I did sporadic line motions, rolling it a little bit and it came out perfect. I love that the cleaner takes off the gray veining paint without ruining the white base coat, I def needed to use the cleaner a few times before I got the hang of it.

Ok soooo. First time I got this kit I used a 3/8 nap roller used way too much base coat and veined after I put on my top coat and wondered why it wasn’t working. So I bought this kit and used 4” foam rollers for the base coat and then did the veining and it was super easy and looks great. Just make sure you don’t repeat my mistakes and this product is great.

This product was not as expected... first of all the color for the veins was very thick and after using the mist bottle it hardly diffused the color leaving thick lines. The veins are very hard to put on and after that sing the mist the white color bubbled, so we had to do it over again. After we re- did the process and we opened the satin top coat can there was a thick film of the satin top coat on top and even after stirring it left clumps everywhere. I'm not sure if the product I received was old but it ruined all the hard work done!No hapyy with the results ☹️

we used the rustoleum marble countertop kit. we knew it would be a challenge and thought well, we'll try it anyways... after carefully reading the directions and following the directions though, we were at first, not happy at all. we figured you had to be a real artist to pull it off. so, I began to paint over the dark gray veining paint... I started at one end of the counter and painted over every line, knowing it would take several coats to cover our 'marbling'... and when I finished covering every line and turned and looked: IT WAS LIKE MAGIC! the thin coat of step one, white paint, faded the lines just enough to make them look authentic!! why don't the directions tell us to do that? omg, anyways, we love it and you can't beat the price! thank you, rustoleum!

It goes yellow over time. The top coat not hard enough I drop a saucepan lid on it and put a nick in bench. Paint is good .

The base coat worked amazing but the top coat was hard and unusable. I had already applied the base coats and veining but was unable to apply the top coat rendering my countertop unusable at the moment.

Followed all the steps and it still failed to stick to benchtop despite leaving it for 7 days and using multiple coats. Would not recommend
