Close, comfortable shave, even after a few days growth
I picked this up after misplacing my old shaver during a recent bathroom renovation, so this was my first upgrade in quite a while. I’ll admit I had a little sticker shock at first, but this feels like one of those tools where the quality shows up pretty quickly. Out of the box, everything was organized and straightforward. Setup is quick and simple. I do like that it comes with a stand instead of just a cord, so it has a good resting spot on the counter. For the price, I was a little surprised it didn’t include some oil for the shaver head. In hand, it feels solid and is easy to handle, including around tighter areas. Performance is great. I have a fairly heavy beard, and most electric shavers take a while to get a close shave, especially after a few days. This morning I had about four days of growth, and it handled it better than I expected. I only needed the trimmer in a couple of spots since the main shaver head did most of the work on its own. It still took a few extra passes, but it was faster and closer than my previous shaver. Cleaning was also simple and easy. Battery life has been strong so far, it’s pretty quiet during use, and I like having the option to go wet or dry. I’m not on a strict daily shave schedule, and this shaver can handle my heavy beard. Definitely an upgrade from what I was using before.

Well Made, Easy to Setup & Use, Powerful, Close Shave, Works Perfect for my Bald Head
This Braun Series 9 Pro+ electric razor is an amazing shaver that has truly exceeded my expectations and transformed my grooming routine. From its premium, well-made feel to its effortless operation, it's a top-tier grooming tool that delivers exceptional results. Setting it up and initiating use is remarkably easy and intuitive. The real standout, however, is the shave itself: it consistently delivers an extremely close and incredibly quick shave. I've been using it specifically for my bald head, a task for which I've tried numerous other shavers, and this Braun Series 9 Pro+ has performed better than any other head shaver I've encountered. The resulting smoothness is absolutely incredible, leaving my skin feeling remarkably soft and free of irritation. It's both fast and powerful, making quick work of my grooming routine without tugging or pulling. The great battery life means I rarely have to worry about recharging mid-shave, even with daily use. A full charge lasts for numerous shaves, offering significant convenience. Furthermore, the included cleaning station makes maintenance incredibly easy and completely hands-free. It automatically cleans, lubricates, dries, and charges the razor after each use. This comprehensive automation simplifies my routine immensely, ensuring the razor is always hygienic, sharp, and fully charged for its next use. It literally does everything for me, taking all the hassle out of post-shave care. I am so thoroughly impressed and satisfied with this electric razor that I could never conceive of going back to any other shaver again (unless, of course, Braun releases an even better iteration of this model!). While it's not the cheapest option on the market, for me, its unmatched performance, superior closeness, exceptional convenience, and comprehensive cleaning solution make it worth every penny. It's not just a razor; it's an investment in a consistently superior grooming experience that provides professional-level results at home.

Pretty Good, But Cheap Feeling...
- I have been using this Braun Series 9 PRO+ Electric Razor for about 6 weeks now for a total of about a dozen or so times. - I am pretty impressed with the actual shave it provides. Some come out better than others but it my be a learning curve on my end. Although I really have to go over all areas with multiple passes. To do it nicely it takes a good 4 to 5 minutes. - I usually use AFTA Pre-Shave before using this razor which seems helps with the "lift" of the facial hairs. However, a few times I did not use any pre-shave lotion and it seemed to do just fine that way too. - I have not even tried the automatic cleaning station yet. But I do keep in super clean by removing the blade assembly and then gently tap all hair out of the cutter blades and unit AND then I reinstall the blade assembly on the unit and rinse under running water as instructed. I pat everything dry and then keep both pieces (blade assembly and unit) separated to air dry on a paper towel for 12 to 24 hours, Sounds like a lot of work but it really isn't. Braun provides a TINY AND CHEAP cleaning brush (Braun should be embarrassed at the tiny size and cheapness of this brush!) which I've used twice. - The pop-up trimmer is "okay", I feel its more of a selling "add-on". I find on an occasional shave where the Braun Razor wouldn't get (near sideburns, under nostrils) I can quickly use a cheap, dry twin blade disposable razor which works quicker and better than the pop-up trimmer. - I like this electric razor but if I had to purchase it again knowing what I know now, I would save about $75 to $100 by purchasing a similar but older Braun model (which are on sale much more often). - Reason for the 4 stars and not 5 (and 3 stars "Value for Money") is like so many online reviewers (at popular shaving sites) mentioned, the overall quality feels plasticky, cheap, and a little lightweight. - For $315.00 I would like to expect similar quality to my KitchenAid Mixer or my Kirby Vacuum. Its no where near the same feel, fit, or finish.

Great Replacement for a Blade Razor
Honestly can't say enough good about this razor. After a double bypass last year I've been on blood thinners. I've always shaved with a blade razor but any nicks were hard to get the bleeding stopped. I ordered the Braun based on various reviews. It took a few tries to get used to how to use it but once I did I was really impressed with the shave. Very smooth and almost blade like. I use Williams Lectric Shave as a pre-shave which really helps the razor cut smoothly. I don't have sensitive skin and not a heavy beard so it works well for me. No more bleeding.

Damn fine shaver for bald heads
Expensive as all hell but worth it if you can afford it. I used to use an electric razor in the $100 range, and it was fine. It didn’t clean my scalp down to razor smooth, and it would take at least 5 minutes. And if I let it grow for more than a day, I’d have to use a razor to clear the stubble. This thing is fast (under 2 mins to shave head and trim beard), it gives a shave as close as a razor, and it can handle a few days worth of growth if I’m lazy. It’s also way easier to clean.

Best Braun Ever
I have used Braun electric razors for 30+ years. Lost my latest series 7 so decided to step up to the latest series. Series 9 pro + blows away every other series I have used. Closer shave, fewer passes over my skin, less chance for irritation. The term game changer is overused, but I don't know what else to say, it's a game changer.

It is not Just a Shaver, It is a Life Style Change
For years I dismissed beard electric shavers all together because I could not get close shaving, that was the main reason. 20 days ago I bough Braun Series 9 PRO+ Electric Razor. Here is my feedback, I hope this helps those who are trying to figure out if they should buy one. I did extensive research before purchasing one, I wanted one that can give me very close shave, be at ease with sensitive skin and not get bumps but also size is a factor for me. Also one that would be reasonable cost $$. After researching and comparing all the different models it came down to two brands that have very good close shave especially under the neck area, that was always my problem reason why I did like not older models and stayed with traditional. I chose Braun Series 9 PRO+ Electric Razor for Men over runner up Panasonic Arch5/9 Series because of the size, I found the Panasonic tends to be a bit bulky. but both brands and models deliver the most close shave over all other brands and models. Again this I am referring to beard shave, other body parts such as head etc.. is a whole different topic. So far I am very happy with Braun Series 9 PRO+ Electric Razor, Model I have is 9567cc Pros I used normally shave every other days, in some cases 3-4 days but by then my face starts to each, Now, it is so convenient I can shave any time, on the go, while working etc... I have tried both dry and wet, I found that dry working better, and not messy, Cleaning is very simple, mine came withe the charger cleaning all in-one, I have only used that once to clean, after shaving I normally just do quick clean withe the brush included. Noise is medium, not to loud, Battery seems to be very good, I only charged few times in the last 20 days. Size, I still would want it to be smaller but still smaller than others, others that are known brands, not talking about some cheap/copy. Close shaving, as close as traditional but not quite 100% there yet I will give it 98%... quite happy withe the closeness I am getting. Price - mid pricing, there is aways sale going, so its good to keep an eye and by on sale. Con Other than its a bit pricey I have no complaint with unit. The all in-one charger/cleaner is a bit large, I hope that could be made smaller in future, I hope this helps.

I wouldn't buy it again
After using it for two years and 3 months it suddenly stopped working. I checked to make sure the battery wasn't dead (it was almost fully charged the day before), but it didn't respond at all, the display wouldn't turn on. After such a large investment, I didn't expect this. I wouldn't recommend it because of its short lifespan, but it always worked very well.

Surprisingly good shave, but overpriced
Bought this to replace a Braun Series 7 which I have used for the past 10+ years but which was showing signs of wear and tear. I hesitated because 1. the Series 7 was still doing the job, and 2. the price in Canadian dollars for the Series 9 was prohibitive. Frankly I was greatly surprised at the improvement in performance I got with the Series 9. It produced a satisfactory shave in about half the time, and with noticeable increase in smoothness. I hadn’t expected this. The Series 9 is also quieter and takes a shorter time to go through a basic cleaning cycle. It feels lighter than the Seven and the build has more of a “plastic” feel to it. I doubt that it will last 10+ years. We shall see. Both models have a sideburn trimmer. The position on the Series 9 is better and involves a “sliding up” process rather that a “flip out” mechanism which requires a problematic spring. All in all, I’m glad I upgraded but I think that the Series 9 costs about C$100 too much, hence the loss of a star. JH Toronto
