I retired a few years ago. My company always paid for my ink cartridges so I bought HP. When I had to buy some after retiring, I decided to try these since they cost so much less and had good reviews. I was definitely skeptical. But they work great for my print at home needs and their customer service is above and beyond! I don’t print a lot and when I just tried to print a letter the quality was awful. I emailed Smart Ink. Within seconds they replied and gave me some helpful tips. I cleaned the printer heads and I’m back to printing! I originally purchased the ink cartridges a little over a year ago. My colors are getting low so I just submitted another order. I will definitely continue to order from them.

I was spending a fortune on Genuine HP inkjet cartridges for my HP OfficeJet 6600, and decided to look into replacement cartridges. My research showed that Smart Ink had excellent Customer Service, so I made the decision to try these. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised! They are inexpensive and arrived quickly. I followed the basic instructions and had no issues at all. Of course, the HP OfficeJet 6600 complained that I was not using Genuine HP Inkjet Cartridges, but you can just continue on through this. I ran a couple of print-head cleaning cycles as instructed, and that was it. The color of the print outs looks as good as HP's, the ink doesn't smear, and dries just as quickly. They appear to made to the same high quality as the HP cartridges, and I had no issues with ink spills at all, like I have read about some other replacement cartridges. They have a 2 year guarantee. I definitely recommend these inkjet cartridges.

Colors are not as vibrant as I had hoped, but good enough for my needs. Worth the price compared to $100-ish I spend on HP cartridges. I have an HP 6600 printer. Upon initial installation of the cartridges, I got a printer failure error. Restarting and unplugging didn't eliminate the issue. Smart Ink Support was very responsive and sent me a list of things to try to get the printer working. While none of their suggestions worked, I was able to get the printer working again by removing the new cartridges, restarting printer without them, then adding one cartridge at a time and letting printer go through its update process with each one before installing the next one. It works fine now!

I was really pleased when I first installed the cartridges. The print quality was good enough for at-home casual printing. When you needed or simply wanted a hard copy of something that didn’t need to be high quality, it seemed these inks were the perfect solution. However, when you don’t use your printer for a period of time and then decide to print, the cartridges perform horribly! The ink seems to bleed and you can hardly discern what you intended to print. The print heads have to be cleaned before each each use (assuming you don’t use your printer regularly) to print normally. Unfortunately, I’ve never paid attention to how long it has been before each printing. Nevertheless, this is not a problem with official inks or even Costco refills! Rating this product - when it’s good, it’s good. But those moments when it fails, is horrible!

In general, I like these! They are way less expensive than the brand name for sure! I've ordered them 3 times and the only issue I ever have is getting them started, they release a little too much ink and after a few pages, it's OK.

For some reason got an error message but Smart replaced all cartridges and sent them priority mail.
