Perfect and trusted, despite one "small" issue
Lets be honest, most people do not invest a lot of money in a simple power supply. But I decided that with a system that does what I want it too, power was not the only thing to look at. I wanted ease of use, lack of clutter, and a trusted power source. This is it!Being modular this takes up only as much space as you need by redusing cable clutter. And there is a wide selection of available cables of a beautiful quality included! This may not have everything for every build, but it is dang close!I did however have one "small" issue. I received this component as part of a larger build, all brand new components from amazon. When I went to power it up the power supply sparked and popped, then promptly died. This is HUGE, as there was over $3k worth of other components attached to it. But Amazon replaced the bad PSU (hey, it happens on even the highest quality controlled line) and the replacement worked perfectly! This does not seem to be a constant problem by the reviews here and on other sites, but it is worth mentioning as it DID happen. Of note, nothing else was destroyed by the death of the PSU, so I give credit to a quality PSU that had a manufacturing defect yet still protected my equipment while it died. Additionally amazon was willing to replace any component that was destroyed by the fault, but no other component needed replaced.

Great power supply / bounces well / great warranty service (even near 5 year limit)
Upon delivery, and after hearing the delivery man bounce it rather loudly off the floor, I was concerned. An ill-conceived test, suggested that an RMA might be necessary. However, after dicovering the wondrous "paper clip test" (search the internet), I was pleased to see it worked. It works great, stays cool, runs quiet, includes all the cables you'll ever need, and is surprisingly resistant to damage from sudden acceleration / G forces. I'd truly like to complain about the price. It is expensive. But, I guess, you get what you pay for.I'd recommend it to anyone.UPDATE: Funny story...after nearly five years, warranty on this, and many other components of my PC, were either nearing or past expiration. So, I decided to build a new one. I completed the build and my old PC died that same day. After some investigation, I discovered it was the power supply.I decided to test the warranty. As I was about a month shy of expiration, my expectations were not high. My first problem occurred trying to submit a claim via the web site...no dice. The page for warranty claims was broken then and remained so for at least a week (I stopped checking after that). In the meantime, I tracked down a (moderately difficult to find) e-mail for customer service. They responded quickly and effectively. About a day later, I had an RMA number and sent the unit back to the warranty address. Shortly later, they sent back a new (fully functional) unit. While it could have been a bit easier to submit the claim, I really have no complaint. I'd give them an extra star for being one of the few companies (now-a-days) that actually honors the warranties, but fives the limit. Kudos to Enermax for that!

Six years later and still working like a charm.
I'm using this power supply in my second build. A perfect fully modular power supply with individually braided cables and cable combs. This 1250 watt psu as of right now under moderate load; internet browsing and watching hi-def videos is outputting 260-270 watts of power. Under full load for gaming it runs at 575 Watts.

PS
Working well so far. It replaced a Cosair unit that seemed to still be working OK, but was making all sorts of strange sounds that made me far less than confidence in its longevity, not to mention it being annoying. This one thus far has been silent and works as expected. The cables, all of them, are shorter than I would have liked though. I have a reasonably large case, and half expected a 1kw power supply to expect you to use a larger case, but I guess not? If only they added a couple inches to each. I also don't like that there are so many none modular cables. I had to use modular video power, as the hard connected were too short, and that meant I had two extras that I had to hide. Not a huge deal, but what gives? It does what is expected though, an I hope this one out lasts the one it replaced!

Top of the line for gamers and workstations
Pros: This is the best quality and the most powerful power supply I’ve ever bought to date. It was purchased for a gaming build in mid 2018. I have 4 hard drives, a power hog processor and motherboard with all large fans within a massive HAF mid tower case. With 10 USB’s, dual graphic cards and dual network cards being used I’ve never used passed the 40% mark to trip the fans! It never has gotten hot!! Relentless power supply. It just works and provides the power you need unconditionally. One of the best on the market, too bad they stopped making it!!! With a 10 year warranty, nice!Cons: none, don’t ever foresee there being an issue. Too well built. If it ever comes back, buy it!

Piece of crap. Literally melted inside.
Piece of crap. I build rigs for sale (I'm not an unknowledgeable consumer that just did something dumb). This thing burnt up and smoked 39 days after purchase. Company would not make exception and return 9 days after return window. Even though the power supply literally smoked and melted inside. Horrible customer service. Horrible product. There's plenty of power supplies out there. Avoid this one.

Good psu sub-par fan
The media could not be loaded. I bought this psu to replace my corsair ax1200i overall its a good psu and i have no complaints about the power output, however, i am going to be looking into replacing the fan or something because under a heavier/longer load (gaming session or running F@H) when the fan ramps up you can hear it, and not like the whir of a normal fan, i wouldnt care if it were that, the pc already has 6 fans and a pump, but its just a loud obnoxious noise that sounds a lot like a bad fan bearing
