Great quality finder scope! Well built, sharp optics, easy to align, and sturdy. The best part is the right-angle viewing, SO much more comfortable than straight-thru finders. The correct-image really helps too. Big upgrade from my previous finder. I'm giving it 5 stars but I do have one complaint and puzzlement. For some reason, the finder has a field-stop that is approximately 13 or so millimeters in diameter. So, in essence, it's not using the full 30mm objective lens' light gathering ability, but dumbing it down to about half of the objectives capability?! Usually, putting a field-stop points to sub-par quality lenses, which doesn't seem to be the case IMO of what I saw when I inspected the optics?? Overall though, despite the field-stop, this is a really good finder and I give it a big thumbs up.

This item is well made, the optics are clear, and all the components are of good quality materials and construction. I'm using it with my Celestron C5. The right angled view makes it comfortable to use not matter what angle the telescope it pointing.

I like this finder scope a lot. My neck LOVES it! I tried a standard spotting scope once and my neck tapped out before I could even get a view through it. I tried SVBONY's red dot spotter and at shallow altitudes of the telescope it worked fine for bright objects but as the scope's altitude goes up, the neck pain does too. This little RACI finder scope is your neck's best friend. It's easy to find objects in the sky and easy to adjust. I agree it would feel more solid if it had 3 screws to adjust rather than 2 screws and a spring but I've bumped it a couple of times and found it was still aligned. I did notice very little difference with the focus adjustments but it feels fairly clear anyway. If you normally wear glasses but don't use them when observing, this is far better than a red dot spotter. For a red dot you have to wear your glasses to use it. No need with this RACI finder. Just go from the finder to the scope eyepiece.

Does not come with dovetail holder, but fits most standard dovetail holders. Extension arm is good length (approx 4” or 10cm) to provide clearance for your head to have room to use right or left eye for viewing without contacting your scope body. Easy to realign if required after bumping by accident. Cross hairs are properly perpendicular. Using red ring, it can be refocused to your preference and locked. Got mine when on sale plus applying an additional discount coupon. Good deal for quality of unit. Diagonal mirror is very clear and the unit is very lightweight and made mostly of metal with some plastic. Looks like good quality and goes with other Astro gear very well. Viewport diameter is under 1” and topside aperture is just over 1.25”. Can see clearly through viewport but no rubber ring for glasses. Comes with two lens caps. A good product so far.
