Review: Plain and Simple - I had originally purchased the one with the fancy temperate "controls". I found that it was an unnecessary added feature that did not work very well at keeping the tea hot, so I returned it and got this plain one. If the tea gets too cool, I just turn it back on till it's hot enough to drink. As with any of these kettles that you make tea directly in, stains eventually appear on the stainless steel bottom. I like the fact that you can fit your hand right inside to clean the bottom.

I had originally purchased the one with the fancy temperate "controls". I found that it was an unnecessary added feature that did not work very well at keeping the tea hot, so I returned it and got this plain one. If the tea gets too cool, I just turn it back on till it's hot enough to drink. As with any of these kettles that you make tea directly in, stains eventually appear on the stainless steel bottom. I like the fact that you can fit your hand right inside to clean the bottom.
