The Abus u-lock has a rubber sleeve around the the metal "U" part which made the "U" a little too wide to fit this product around. I had to use a razor blade to cut away the portion of the rubber sleeve where this product would wrap around it. Once that was done, it was easy to fit it on.I've used it for a year and it works great, and it looks good. The click-in release mechanism has worked perfectly so far. I occasionally re-tighten it onto the bike frame so that it doesn't rotate out of place as easily, but that's not a hassle or a problem. Don't tighten it too hard, though, or else it might crack because it is plastic after all.I definitely recommend it. I did get this to fit my kryptonite lock. I simply removed the other metal bracket originally attached to it and put on the new one, however I did need to use part of the rubber gripper it came with. The only major complaint I have is that the mount locking mechanism seems to be a little loose and wobbly which can make a lot of rattling noises while riding and can get pretty annoying.
