Children of Time Series 3 Books Collection Set (Children of Time, Children of Ruin & Children of Memory)

I stumbled across Adrian Tchaikovsky by total fluke and I'm so glad I did! I found Children of Time in a charity shop when I had forgotten to bring a book away with me. Not even halfway through I had to get the sequels! The Children of Time series is a true sci-fi epic spread across time and space, well written, exploring themes like man's desire to play god, loyalty, distrust and what it means to be human. I've also got his Shadows of the Apt fantasy series on the go on also book. He does like to explore the relationship between man and other species, which he does so well. If you are a fan of hard sci-fi already, this is definitely a series well worth exploring, if you're not, it's a great jumping in point.

Read these a few years ago but when all three come up for £12 it`s a no brainer, the incredible imagination and storytelling of A.Tch. has very few equals in the SF world. - a joy to read again.

3rd book seemed to wander around in a lost way, I skipped bits of it because of this. I think it would have been better condensed into 2 books. I am used to reading long series (ie Chaney, Im on book 23 and still enjoying) so its not me getting bored.

Very good price for this set of books and well packaged. Half way through the first book already (only received yesterday), I find it very difficult to put down, keep saying just the next chapter.

These books combine interesting ideas and viewpoints with a gut punching bombardment of impressions. I have to read them a chapter or two at the time, but it's time well spent.

Great collection, big fan of the author

Good science fiction trilogy. Books excellent

Una de las mejores novelas de ciencia ficción que he leído. El autor es zoólogo y se nota. Hacía tiempo que un libro no me presentaba conceptos tan interesantes.

Excellent trilogy and excellent value.
