desertcart.com: The Art and Science of Trading: Course Workbook: 9781948101004: Grimes, Adam: Books Review: Highly recommended book - Just started to read, but reviews are excellent. More content than I expected. Review: This workbook + the free course will give you an edge in the markets - I bought Adam's book a few years ago and admittedly it challenged some of my views on indicators and such. Having been trading stocks for a few years now (not full-time), I recognize the value of what he teaches regarding market structure, price action, and so much more. His free course at Marketlife Trading is an outstandingly generous resource that goes hand in hand with the book. This workbook brings it all to a new level. There is nothing like putting pen to paper and drawing trendlines and marking up the charts in the workbook. Clicking your mouse to do these things just doesn't have the mental impact and absorption that the former does. Whether you are new to trading and want to learn essential foundations or have traded awhile but want to focus your charting skills to hone your edge, I don't think there is a better education package available at any cost.

Phenomenal Book
Not sure what some of the other reviewers were thinking, but this is a workbook that goes along Adam’s free video course on trading. In that respect this is an A+ book. This book also has some great thought provoking text and articles that compliment Adam’s other awesome work in the world of trading. I’d say to any new or struggling trader who’s serious about trading - buy this book, go through the video course, and spend time on exercises in this book. It will change you in a very positive manner and quite possibly make you a profitable trader. Finally, to the reviewer who was gripping about a cheaper kindle version being made available after he’d bought the more expensive hard copy, I’d like to say this: this is not a book you want to read on kindle. This is a book you want to write on, draw on, highlight sentences, put question marks, mark candles in charts, draw support/resistance lines, trace your trade setups - in other words really get intimate with it. Don’t sweat the $50 you spent on this book - if you use it the way it’s intended to be used, I’m pretty sure the return on your investment will be at least 6 figures!

Actually a very useful supplement to a very good trading book
Great job to Adam Grimes, we appreciate the fine work. This very immersive and complete book is a great addition to his trading book. It has plenty of addtl info that justifies the price and it’s value is letting the reader immerse themselves into the many aspects of becoming “a trader”. Highly recommend it to any trader from new to experienced.

Great book but too many spaces.
Great book but too many spaces. The book's size is really large. I was hoping to get a smaller book that is easy to carry around.

Well worth the money
I own both of his books. I am working my through both and it has already helped me. Out of the many trading books and courses I have, this is where I wished I started years ago. It one of the best out there.

Excellent book without any filler
A condensed but extensive book of trading, literally no filler and the author only put what is important. This book meant to be a companion book of author’s free trading course on his website hence this book contain practice page that makes you really thinks, his 1st book is more standalone book of trading.

I don't often write reviews but i find it worthwhile in this case. This book is very valuable for any person who wants to take a deep dive into learning to trade, or consolidating your skills or as a reference book. You will find many exercises that will help you develop some skills that you won't find in most books. It addresses most areas that are crucial to the craft. Whether it is chart reading, quantitative analysis, risk management, psychology, doing your trading plan & patterns, you will find something to help you. I use it as a reference and as homework to better some of my skills. IMHO, it is a very robust tool that will withstand the test of time!

Fantastic addition to the free course provided on Adams website. A straight & to the point guide to trading which instead of providing a "turn-key" trading plan, gives you the information and education on creating your own plan. Highly recommended and just a shame I didn't discover earlier.
