Also fits 18V XR
Although the description says for Dewalt 20V MAX batteries, my Dewalt 18V XR also fit. I was going to have to get a new drill when the current NiHM battery died so this is a cheap solution. Haven't tried the USB charger but this isn't why I bought it.

New battery into old drill!
I was in two minds whether to purchase this item, due to some unfavourable reviews! But because the adapter was pretty cheap, I thought "in for a penny, in for a pound" as the saying goes! I must say, the adapter does not appear to be made of the best material, but it seems that I was wrong, as the adapter clicks nicely into the battery ( Dewalt 2.AH 18v ) The adapter then fits nicely onto the Dewalt DC988. I specify the drill, as I don't know if the adapter would fit nicely onto other drills! The drill worked perfectly, with no problems at all! I am quite amazed to be honest, as I was in two minds, due to the poor reviews & performance issues that some people appeared to have! The adapter fits nicely onto the battery, & the drill isn't overly cumbersome! I now have an old drill that works with a new type battery, what's not to like!

A very worthwhile upgrade despite the odd look.
Works perfectly. Contrary to some other reviews I found both the adaptor and battery easy to fit, although the battery felt slightly loose once fitted.
