Smooth, beautiful, and rich ceremonial Matcha!
I have been drinking Japaness matcha for the last 10 years now, and have tried many different brands online and purchased from many different local Asian stores. I was finally impressed with the quality and taste of this matcha, and think I finally found "the one" after all these years. This is definitely high quality matcha, and one of the best out there I have tried so far. It has a smooth earthy, and floral notes, with a rich and beautiful emerald green color. This is definitely premium matcha and has been sourced from the best place. If you are particular about your matcha and truly want to know what true ceremonial matcha tastes like, without having to visit Japan, please try this. You will be pleased with the it's authentic taste and profile.

Rich, vibrant, and delicious—Akira Organic Matcha is my go-to for the perfect green tea latte!
I can’t say enough good things about the Akira Organic Premium Ceremonial Grade Matcha! 🌱 This matcha is truly a standout product and has quickly become my go-to for making green tea lattes. The quality is impeccable—it’s made from high-grade ceremonial matcha, which you can tell immediately from the vibrant, rich green color and the smooth, earthy aroma when you open the container. When I make my lattes, the flavor is perfectly balanced: rich, creamy, and packed with that signature umami taste that premium matcha is known for. It blends beautifully, whether I whisk it traditionally or use it in my milk frother. The result is always a latte that tastes indulgent and feels energizing, all while being a healthier alternative to other drinks.I also love that it’s 100% organic and free from fillers, sugar, or preservatives. Knowing it’s sourced directly from Uji, Kyoto, adds to my confidence in the product’s authenticity and freshness. The meticulous care that goes into shade-growing and stone-grinding the tea leaves really shines through in the flavor and texture. This matcha is an absolute delight, whether you’re a seasoned matcha enthusiast or just starting your journey into matcha. If you’re looking for a high-quality, authentic ceremonial-grade matcha, Akira is definitely the one to try. I highly recommend it and will continue to purchase it again and again! 🥰

The Perfect Balance of Quality and Price
I grew up in Japan drinking matcha regularly, so I’m very picky when it comes to quality. Good matcha can be extremely pricy, and I’ve been on the hunt for something that balances authenticity, flavor, and affordability. This Matcha hits that sweet spot for me.It’s organic, ceremonial grade, and—most importantly for me—sourced from Uji, Kyoto, the region known for producing some of the best matcha in Japan. The color is a beautiful, bright green and the texture is smooth and silky. The taste is rich but not bitter, with that natural sweetness I expect from true ceremonial matcha. For the mid-range price, the quality is honestly impressive. I can enjoy my daily matcha ritual here in the States without feeling like I’m overspending. I’ve repurchased several times already and plan to keep this as my go-to matcha. Highly recommend to fellow matcha lovers who want authentic flavor without breaking the bank.

Excellent Quality Matcha
I've been incredibly impressed with the quality of Akira Matcha from Matcha Konomi. This organic matcha is smooth, vibrant, and has a wonderfully fresh aroma that speaks to its quality. Whether I'm preparing it traditionally or using it in lattes, it mixes easily with no clumps and delivers a clean, pleasant flavor that isn't bitter or overpowering. What really stands out is how versatile and user-friendly it is. I’ve used it both on its own and as an addition to smoothies and beverages, and it always blends beautifully without the need for fancy tools. The taste is consistently excellent, with a natural sweetness and depth that makes it enjoyable for both new and experienced matcha drinkers. For the quality you get, it’s a great value.Matcha Konomi also offers a variety of other matcha options for drinking and baking, which I’m excited to try next. If you're looking for a reliable, high-quality matcha to incorporate into your daily routine or culinary creations, Akira Matcha is a fantastic choice. I highly recommend it!

A very nice Matcha.
Color: Is a very vibrant green.Grind/powder: This matcha is amazing, this has been the only matcha I have purchased that there is no need to sieve prior to use, its pointless to do so.Froth: Easy to build a nice thick froth, and it sticks around, providing you don't use too much water.Taste: I find the taste to be nice, I make mine with ~3.5oz of water to the 1g of matcha powder. Yes I weigh it out the first week or so to get a feel for what it looks like. Due to this matcha being so finely ground it looks like your adding quite a bit of powder. Hence the scale. It has a very pleasant grassy/earthy thing going on, its not as "strong" flavored as others I have tried but I would say the flavor is more pleasant. I have noticed that letting the prepared matcha sit for any length of time results in the matcha falling out of suspension. I'm left with a bowl of lightly flavored water on top of a thick matcha pool at the bottom. Simple enough to resolve with a quick stir if I have let it standing and easier to prevent by preparing and promptly consuming.I also have to note the packaging, the tins are nicely sealed. The cover is easy to open/close and has a good seal, even after opening the foil. There is no package of desiccant mulling about in there either, just matcha. I'm looking forward to trying the Amaya next time.

Consistently High Quality Matcha at a Competitive Price Point
Matcha Snob Approved. If you’re looking for a ceremonial grade matcha at a daily-use price, Matcha Konomi is it. I’ve been buying this matcha on Subscribe and Save for years. The color is a gorgeous spring pea, the taste is rich, fresh, and never bitter. I use a strainer to ensure any static electricity clumps aren’t an issue. I use an electric whisk with the hot water because it gets the match more frothy than a bamboo whisk. I’ve also added the matcha straight to a bottle of chocolate Fairlife for a protein matcha latte. Clean, focused energy.(The sellers send a piece of cute origami washi paper in each order. I’ve recently begun making fridge magnets with the paper. See picture.)

Incredible matcha—smooth, vibrant, and no bitterness!
I can’t say enough good things about Akira Matcha by Matcha Konomi! This has quickly become my go-to matcha, and I genuinely look forward to making it every day. The quality is outstanding. You can immediately tell it’s ceremonial grade from the vibrant green color, fine texture, and smooth blend. There’s zero bitterness, just a clean, mellow taste with that signature umami flavor matcha lovers adore.I started using it for lattes (which it blends beautifully into), but lately, I’ve been enjoying it with just water and ice, and it’s still amazing! It dissolves effortlessly, with no clumping, and has a naturally sweet, earthy flavor that makes it perfect on its own. If you’ve been hesitant about trying matcha because of the potential bitterness, this is the one to try. It’s incredibly smooth and beginner-friendly, but also high-quality enough to impress any matcha connoisseur.I also love that it’s 100% organic, filler-free, and sugar-free, with USDA and JAS certification, which gives me confidence in its purity and sourcing. Knowing it’s made from first harvest, shade-grown leaves from Uji, Kyoto, adds to the authenticity and premium feel.If you’re looking for fresh, ceremonial-grade matcha that delivers both in taste and quality, look no further. I’ll be repurchasing!

My favorite matcha to date
Completely unexpected. I think this might actually be my favorite matcha I've tried so far! I don't even want to drink any of the ones I already have opened anymore lol. Normally not a fan of bitterness, this has a slight hint and it's a perfect blend with the flavor, I do like grassy matcha and this has that but not overpowering, the color is vibrant and beautiful, it smells enticing and it foams great with little effort. I usually drink as an unsweetened latte but always try my matcha powder alone with just powder and water first to get a feel for the flavor and this one is amazing. As far as aftertaste... it's as beautiful as the drink and doesn't change. 1000% buying this again
