I was hesitant that it would seem like a "Halloween costume" and be cheaply made, but I was very wrong - it's a legit jacket and superior quality. It appears to have real leather - it at least smells and feels like leather! The shoulders are made of actual chain mail metal, and all of the zippers are high quality. The jacket is comfortable to wear, especially considering the amount of metal and zippers present.The sizing is right on, if you use the charts and disclaimer info. I am 5' 10"/200 lbs with a bit of a gut, and the Large fits me exceptionally well.The only slight drawback is that the elastic on the sleeve cuffs is very tight, so you won't be able to push the sleeves up unless you have very, very small forearms. I would also prefer a slightly darker version of "red", but it doesn't detract from the overall experience.I've gotten 3 compliments from strangers in just a week of wearing it - 1 guy told me that I "took him back in time!" I've wanted this jacket for decades, and 30-year-old me decided that this was the crazy year to indulge in a ridiculous birthday present for myself. I am very pleasantly surprised with the quality of this jacket, especially for the price! It's soft, the leather is great, the red is a perfect shade without being tacky, and I really love the excessive amount of zippers. I'm a woman and I ordered a small, and while it's a tad roomy in the shoulder area, it fits well across the chest and looks great everywhere else.
